DS9 is awesome! Not just because Sisko is a bad-ass but it made one of the beloved minor characters from TNG, Chief O'Brian, a series regular. The bro-mance between him and Dr. Bashir was fun.

Well you guys chanced on one of the weird issues of Trek a show that is nominally all about embracing diversity. The monolithic aliens where a single member of a species can knowingly talk about their species as if every member is the same. Klingons do this, Vulcans do that. And that they speak Klingon or whatever. Though to be fair, there are some instances of human type diversity in aliens (because of the actor that plays them) and alien diversity might not be anything that humans could readily identify (such as Klingon forehead ridges or something)

The other weird thing is the number of random crewmembers that apparently hail from England/Ireland based on their surnames. I get those names are "comfortable" to a largely American audience, but it does strike me as some xenophobe's dream where even most Europeans don't make the cut into Starfleet.

Headtracked HUDs projected on racers' visors, engine boost/cripple by remote by Race Control, and you have blueshells in Formula E. This is actually technically possible.

OK.. Dammit. I've been holding out, listening to this podcast having never watched F1 (or any racing sport at all, really). But... I think I want to get into this one. The only problems: I'm American; do not have either cable, satellite, or rabbit-ears TV; do not have access to Tivo or any kind of DVR-style device; and work weekends. Anyone have any tips on how I'd go about watching F1? Is there, like, a website I can catch recordings of the races after the fact at my own pace?

Thank god for racing, cause rubbing just aint doing it for me anymore.

Haven't listened to the podcast yet but judging from the comments and thumbnail F1 has broken the warp 10 "threshold"? Did Nico and Lewis have weird lizard babies?

Edit: Also I'm not 100% sure but I think I heard that Caterham will be selling Kobayashi's seat to the highest bidder for the remaining races of the season to alleviate some of their money trouble, bummer for Kamui...

F1 is like the NFL when it comes to watching there events. They fallow the old "Catch it live or fuck you" mentality unfortunately.

What a race. Loved the fight for fifth. Too bad Magnussen got penalized so hard, but a somewhat fair decision. Good show guys! Here's pre-Monza videos.

Are there really places in America where you can't get baked beans or is Danny just a crazy person? Every grocery store I've ever been to has had seemingly dozens of different kinds of baked beans, and the Publix near me recently even started carrying the British branded Heinz Beans. I checked the ConAgra store locator and it showed some Safeways around SF that carried Beanee Weenees... @dannyodwyer should head to Safeway and check it out.

Oh man, I didn't realize Formula E was starting so soon. Looking forward to what a mess the first race will inevitably be.

As a reserve driver, Alexander Rossi would have been on the track anyway. That's what sucks about being a reserve driver, it takes up your time and prevents you from racing in some other series, and you only get to drive on Friday practice or if there's some emergency. But people do it because it gives them a chance of becoming an actual driver.

So the team didn't own up to the FIA about what went on in that post-race meeting, but it's pretty clear now that they're not huge fans of Rosbergs behavior. (English half way down.)

Danny, Drew, I love you, but no amount of Star Trek imagery will get me to listen to an F1 podcast!
