I always forget Sprecher's is a regional drink because it's just eeeeverywhere around where I am.

I love Dandelion & Burdock, that and Jagermeister is a helluva drink tbf.

@humanity: As someone that stumbled upon some old soda at my grandparent's house one year, it basically tastes like... dust, or... weird air? I drank three of them that day and didn't have any digestive troubles. I can't say it was any worse for me than drinking three non-expired sodas would have been.

Usually you're not supposed to drink an open bottle of wine after like one week. It just starts turning into vinegar after that.

As a Milwaukee native, it hurts to hear them butcher "Sprecher" like that

My home state of Wisconsin may be known for the beer, but we can make some damn good soda too. Sprecher is the largest. Jolly Good is also another fantastic brand, but I believe it's way more localized. I think Sprecher is sold in almost all 50 states. It costs more, but if you're feeling fancy and want a top notch root beer or something "different", they've got plenty.

@fonzinator: Right? I was cringing in my seat just wanting to blurt it out. Not their fault. Just yeah, never really gave it a thought. Pronounced Sprecker or Spreker for anyone that doesn't know.

Man, I think most sodas start tasting weird a few weeks or at most a month after the expiration date, I definitely wouldn't want to try anything that's upwards of two years old.

The dust taste described earlier is fairly accurate, I think, though there's a bit of an uncomfortable sourness to it too.

As a Cherry Cole aficionado, Sprecher Cherry Cola is THE SHIT. Enjoy, Ben.

In the U.S., at least, burdocks are best-known for the huge fucking burrs they create. My father referred to a coworker he disliked as "the human burdock." Take that as you will.

Medicine-like liquorice soda sounds pretty good actually. Wouldn't mind tasting that.

Wine that has been open more than 2 days is pretty much disgusting. If that's been open for a couple years...I can't imagine how bad it would taste. It certainly has to be vinegar at best, and spoiled at worst. I would not have put that anywhere near my mouth, and I love wine.

@okand: the reformulated reduced sugar Irn Bru isn't godawful like new Dr Pepper - I actually think it's slightly more refreshing than the old kind, though at the cost of that syrupiness that so defined true Irn Bru - but I still think it'd make more sense as a drink variant instead of an outright replacement.
