@alex@vinny@danryckert all whips in this game have one of the best special attacks in the game - do a hadoken/fireball motion + attack for it!

I didn't even know this game has DLC. should have bought it before I finished the game

I have 98 percent of the map complete and am still missing like 75 percent of food and haven't made the last few weapons but this is inspiring me to do so again. It's nice someone at giant bomb is enjoying this game.

I'm glad Vinny figured out the invert+greatsword boss strat, I got through a lot of content much easier like that!

I like how they were kind of iffy about Bloodstained early on, but now they're deep into theory-crafting and overwhelming big bads with knife machine guns.

@csl316: I too was a little unsure of the game early on. I originally played it on the Switch but stopped not too far into it due to the occasional long load times and weird performance. I later picked it up on PC and played a few hours only to stop due to other games taking my attention. But then I decided to just pick it back up again (probably due to this show) earlier this month where I then just burned right through the rest of it.

This game definitely turned out a lot better than I expected, between the variety of weapons, the weapon techniques which I spent a bunch of time mastering a bunch (which unlocks the technique for all weapons of that weapon class). Grinding a bunch of the yellow shards to max them out as well as getting the grade up high if not maxed, which when at max rank they become permanent skills that you no longer need to equip to get their effect. By the end I had probably a dozen or so permanents skills from the various yellow shards.

The game definitely just gets better as the game continues and your power level just gets more and more ridiculous. It's definitely one of my favorite games of the year and one I think I'll revisit again for additional play-throughs.

@icedmetal57: The Switch version has been patched now and it's a lot better. It still doesn't look great but the awful input lag is gone.

They've managed to turn the game into Contra.

Play something interesting to watch instead. Like Shenmue 2.

Anyway, 2 more episodes to go.

The Carpenter's a weird boss. Is he a reference? Is he a joke? Why did I ALSO get that bug where he doesn't disappear and makes the battle anti-climactic? Why is this series so damn hilarious?

These are the questions that haunt us all...

One of my favourite episodes of Bloodstained so far, I'm excited to see Vinny take on the remaining bosses now that he's gotten hold of the really good weapons and abilities

I can't believe Vinny got the imbrued fang on his first shot. I had to fight the millionaire SEVERAL times and my luck was quite a bit higher.

I don't know who Tex Morpheus and Robert Barall are, but everyone's sure talking about them alot.

I used flying edge for most of the game and it made the game incredibly easy even on hard and I suck at these kind of games. It's easy to be fooled by the lower damage but the thing is, is that you are always damaging the enemy, doing double hits, and far outside their attack range most of the time. It's funny how this game has certain items/weapons that just make the game stupid easy, like that.

@heatdrive88: i did the jumping whip->standing whip->whip technique combo for most of the bosses. the whips rule in this game

coming late to this but it looked like you could cut the flame wall on that 8 bit boss with your sword. would have made things easier.

It looked like the 8-bit boss dropped something halfway through the fight. I wonder what that was.

@steveurkel: word. I was waiting for this game like crazy for years... got it last year and dropped it instead of grinding against final Zengetsu... finally buying a membership brought this to me, and I've finally picked the game back up.

Now I'm doing my horrible 1000% Metroidvania run again (all items and weapons, max whatever can be maxed out, etc). Last time I did this was with Order of Ecclesia, and I never DID find out how high mastery goes... my Nitesco just kept climbing...

Sadly, the streetpass/online component never let me do much with the shop keeping function, and I only got some of the 50-cap and 1-cap stuff unlocked.
