When you started talking about Mega Man 1 having a crap cover I thought you were insane, but then I looked at the NTSC version of the cover and understood. I'm very happy with my PAL cover.

@dr_insane: Yeah all four of those features were awesome. Especially Kerbal. I've watched the whole thing through like 5 times now. I don't have any nostalgia for Mega Man personally, I think the only one I ever played was Mega Man 3 on Gameboy. I'll take what I'm given though I suppose.

I don't think mega man 1 is a good game.

0.700s alteration in VLC corrects the audio sync problem.

Man, there are going to be some hella hard parts in this series... these games are not going to be easy at certain points.

I'm already just sweating thinking about the dragon boss in Megaman 2...

The Ice Man stage is so crappy, Capcom couldn't even be bothered to animate the water into anything more than a blue backdrop. For shame!

This is a great feature to have playing in the background while doing stuff because you can listen to rad Mega Man music.

These are probably my favourite features on the site. Bought the collection and plan to play alongside the series. I've never really played Mega Man, which kind of sucks when I started with the Ice level.

@heatdrive88: The dragon isn't that tough. You just get up on the top block and quick boomerang it to death before it can do much. If you do get hit, you get knocked onto the middle block, so just jump back up.

Hardest part of 2 IMO is the room where you have to carefully crash bomb only the necessary barriers because the lasers can only be killed by crash bombs. I wonder if Alex will use the pause glitch there, too. I never do it without it.

Also, I said Bubble Lead, as in Pb, soft metal stuff. Never even considered other people might say it differently. Made sense 'cause the bubbles don't float away they crawl on the ground; so they're heavy, right? It was the 80s! It made perfect 80s kid-sense, haha

Would have preferred vinny doing this because he rarely shows his frustrations, and when he does he just laughs (otherwise he'd cry). Alex wears it on his sleeve more.

Cool that they decided to actually go ahead with this feature. Been a while since I've seen some of the older Mega Man games.

Great to see you do this series, Alex! As a Mega Man fan who played and finished a lot of these games (all of: original series, X, Zero, ZX & ZX Advent, Legends) I agree that the first original Mega Man is probably one of the weakest. The later games might have really shitty bosses and some boring stages, but at least the formula that was perfected in 2&3 is still in place and works. This game is an important first step, but in an alternate dimension where Capcom stopped after the first one no one would be even talking about it as anything other than a worse Powerblade or Little Samson. Maybe we'd have more Little Samsons...

My two cents on best NES box art: Lifeforce and Gradius are both up there, but my favorite is Kirby's Adventure.

And yeah, I went there. I think Powerblade is better than Mega Man 1.

Really liked the Castlevania series they did and this seems great too. I'd love to see them do something similar for Resident Evil.
