Almost unreal how good this episode was. If this is a sign of future shows then I am 100% on board.

So Danswers took a turn towards Marc Maron's WTF with this one. Really amazing episode and much respect to @gameovergreggy for sharing his stories as openly and heartfelt as he did. If this episode is an indication of the trajectory going forward, this looks like a really promising start. Not saying your guests have to cry every episode of course.

I'm trying to find the info to subscribe to the podcast, but the "rss" link just brings me to a page with all the podcasts xml code and metadata. Is it me or is the link busted?

Did Danny say criticizing feminism would ruin his career?

Kind of? I almost hope that the things he wrote were actually offensive to the idea of equality (the original meaning of feminism) and not justified criticism of the 3rd wave movement. Sadly people are easily confused and afraid to bring up valid criticism these days.

I've heard Greg's cancer story several times over the past couple years and every time I choke up. Loved seeing him here on the podcast.

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that neither of you know much about feminism aside from what you've read on sites that are against feminism. Additionally, since you didn't read the never published article, you seem to be jumping to conclusions about its content. Since you obviously respect Danny, perhaps give him the benefit of the doubt in his claim that it was probably offensive and in poor judgment.

I like them just taking life and stuff much more than an advice podcast. I think you can get to the same points and in more informative and deeper ways. Like they said, you always get the same questions for these things when you just take them. Hopefully that continues.

Thank you guys for another great podcast. I have no doubt that it's really difficult to put yourselves out there for the internet to dissect, but hearing people that I respect talk about their highs and lows outside of games really helps put things in my own life into perspective.

This new format is much more enjoyable than the previous format. It is often that listeners send in repetitive questions and I am glad that you're going to reformat the show to avoid that.

Greg Miller is a perfect guest to break in the new format.

This has been amazing, don't know Greg at all, didn't expect or know about any change in format, didn't super enjoy these podcasts before (no offense! just not my favorite stuff), but this was one of the best things on the site.

Hey guys :). I wanted to pop onto this thread to say thank you, so much. I became a premium member this summer and forgot about this podcast -- it was something I wanted to check out when I first heard about it. This was the first episode I listened to, and it was very powerful, moving, and inspiring. Thank you all so much for this gift in a somewhat difficult time of my life. It means a lot.

Can't wait for the next one!

Makes me scared because for the past several months I've been having dizzy moments where I feel like I'm having a heart attack, cannot breathe and like I'm going to pass out. I keep having pains in my stomach area and I get the shits a lot and I sleep loads now too... every time it happens I just go to sleep as I feel better when I wake up.

I just try to ignore it though :\ Just cannot be bothered to go to the GP and then wait hours at hospital and wait hours more because the NHS is so crap. In my head I'm just thinking I'll wait till something bad happens and just hope this goes away on it's own.

The SJ talk towards the end really disheartened me that this really is where society is heading and has been heading. People need to get hurt and have boundaries pushed or we'll never improve as a society. Being sensitive is fine but we shouldn't demonize people for using words out of context. Words are words, the only meaning they have is given to them by people. There is something to be said for taking impactful hurtful words and making them lose their meaning. I think this idea that some things are "Always Serious" is silly, especially when people who are treated like children that need protecting over the subject go out of their way and make light of it themselves but it's OK since they're a minority/female ETC.

I'm gay and I absolutely feel insulted when straight guys apologize for using words I and my friends use all the time and have no problem with. Their is a way higher amount of this in these communities than people think and nobody seems to care to acknowledge it since that doesn't fit the SJ narrative.

I think it's time to stop vilifying people for using words or telling jokes. Intention is everything and I've been way more personally hurt by people calling me a jerk than a bundle o sticks.
