Sheep Raider is actually a fantastic puzzle game that still holds up really well today. One of my favorite PS1 games. I replayed a good chunk of it just last year. It made me real sad to see the guys treat it like hot garbage, knowing nothing about it.

The puzzle they failed to even start before quitting the game involved using a fan to waft lady sheep scent into the herd to lure one back to you. There's no other way to grab one without Sam seeing you in that level. The mail boxes air-drop items when you interact with them. There was one right in front of Drew's face when he first started that gives you the fan, but of course he just walked right past it. How a mail box in the middle of the woods doesn't stand out enough to draw you to it I have no idea. Makes me wonder how many other games they have horribly misrepresented without me even knowing because I've never played the game in question.

@sor_eddie You, sir, are a hero. I have actually thought about posting that C.S. Lewis quote many a time in response to Dan's bullshittery, but it's long and I usually have something else I wanted to say more. Bravo.

God, the fact that Dan is self-aware of his "I'm a real grown up man who only watches hardcore adult stuff, that's kid's junk" way of thinking only makes it more obnoxious and irritating.

“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.”

I watch almost 100% of everything GB puts out but, holy shit, this feature is boring.

There's a limit to how many bad PS2 demos can we lazily make fun before the joke gets stale. You guys have reached that limit.

That's very true. Not sure if they asked you this kind of thing at where you worked but we would often get customers coming in looking for a new "paddle." They meant "controller," but it was like an initiation ritual for new hires to have them try and find out what the hell the customer was talking about while we snickered in he back room.

Related note: According to my previous customers, Sony never made a Playstation 2. They only made something called the "Play2" or "P2." It was an odd time back then.

Agree with you on the job too in retrospect. Worked with and met some cool people, but at the end of the day, it was customer service and that is hardly ever fun.

over half a year later, and we still have people who can't deal/understand dan.

you do realize this is why he pokes fun at things...to get a rise out of those who take themselves too seriously. he's taking the piss.

you may think he's unfunny- and that's fair. but understand you're creating a positive feedback loop every time you comment to the effect of "dan's the childish one for calling things childish!"

God, the fact that Dan is self-aware of his "I'm a real grown up man who only watches hardcore adult stuff, that's kid's junk" way of thinking only makes it more obnoxious and irritating.

Yup, the "paddle" thing happened all the time. My favorite was people asking for Grand Theft Auto "Eye Vee."We also had a kid that called in every week to see if we had a used copy of Big Mutha Truckers come in. I don't think we ever did...

I really enjoy this feature now that Jeff is in on it, Dan & Drew are all right but let's be honest, Jeff is where it's at when it comes to the type of stuff demo discs are filled with: insanity.

I'm really happy that @jeff is now a part of this. I think the three of them make an incredible trio of personalities that complement each other perfectly. Jeff's years of experience also provides a great source of interesting tidbits. Kudos to @danryckert for coming up with this series. It's now my favorite since Vinny left, which makes it somewhat bittersweet. The Vinny and Alex quick looks just don't do it for me. Which is disheartening because I really love Vinny.
