Oh man. I don't ever remember learning magic from that guy in that room at the end of time. Is it possible to play through this game without ever learning magic?

And this is why you should pay attention to the Old Guy at the End of Time, lol. I cringed when they started asking, "Yo, what time period do we go to", when only a minute earlier the Guru had said, "Hey dawgs, you should get back to present time". Wonder how long it takes for them to figure out they are entirely in the wrong time period. And also to realize that Bucca has to talk to Spekkio in order to get her magic as well. Oh well. Regardless, this has actually been a really great ER so far. Them going after Lavos was pretty great.

Yeah, the game totally didn't give you guys a hint about which time period you should go to first, except the part where the guy said "Go back to your own time period"

@Quarters: Oh they'll figure it out by say... Monday? But they'll blame the game for not telling them what to do instead of realizing they just weren't paying attention :P

So, I wonder how much time they'll waste before one of them remembers that actually the game did give them a massive hint about where to go next? Heh. I'm enjoying this, but they have wasted so much time just by not paying attention.

Weird how they gathered all 4 things for the hutpeople but nothing happened. So weird...

@gkhan: They kind of hinted that they knew that, but they didn't actually act on it, so that's why I thought they maybe didn't realize it.

And yeah, you have to do a couple of other time periods first before Ayla. She pops up the second you enter, if I remember correctly, once you come at the right time. On the bright side, they are getting some good XP, and some good lessons on how to play through these weird diversions.

@gkhan: They have to go to 1,000 to trigger that event in the past. The chief will not show up untill they go back to their own time... Anyone wanna side bet on how long it'll take them to figure that out? HAA

whats funny is how they accepted defeat from lavos even though they actually could have beaten him. not only that they forgot that the form he took when he beat them was when the fake chancellor transformed....

I had forgotten how great the magic animations were. I remember it blew my mind to see Marle's hair float up during the charge and then flap away with her clothes as she cast her spells. It was huge after seeing that after playing FFVI.

Also, I'm happy they learned to use restorative magic outside of battle.

Regardless if they have said it or not, they wont remember. just look at this episode. they wanted to talk to the lady saying the four things and they forgot which tent she was in already.

I really like this endurance run but some things are really bothering me, they don't read and if they do they forget, seriously how don't you check out if you can use tech's outside of battle until now in a jrpg, that's like a staple if the genre.

I like that they went for was was clearly an end boss, good stuff.

Keep enduring but please start paying attention guys.

@LiquidElite: Nope, it's a different boss. It's coming up. And if they had still managed to beat it by paying attention to the enemy counter-attack taunts, they would've got seriously outclassed by the next one.

I have to say, as often as they do dumb things in this game that slightly annoy me (but most of them are highly amusing like a good ER should be, so don't get me wrong) like walk past chests or use tonics when 2/3 of their squad can heal for next to nothing, this detour is one of those dumb things I admittedly also did the first time I played CT. In true RPG style, when presented with the choice of going back to the boring present to continue the plot and effin' dinosaurs, a decision is quickly reached.

Best episode so far; keep it up you buys. I hope they don't ignore Bucca forever: they're gonna need her fire magic and they still haven't given her the Plasma Gun.

The Giantbomb staff just might have Attention Deficit Disorder.

Video keeps stopping and starting for me. Anybody else have this problem?

You guys should turn on the Save Battle Cursor option. Ryan has the habit of focus attacking one enemy at a time and not having to reselect the one with the least health will make battle a more enjoyable experience. Keep doing these videos!

A complete waste of time episode, and probably my favorite one yet.

The attack mode that killed them wasn't based off the Chancellor. They were right about it being the next boss they have to fight. Well, if they were in the right time period that is.

Yea...Ryan and Patrick both should really really pay attention and READ. It's actually kind of not fun to watch. With Deadly premonition, they paid attention to EVERYTHING, and they didn't let one piece of information slip by. Also, Ryan needs to bash out attacks and techs way faster, he is awful slow and doing that, and the fact that sometimes he doesn't pay attention to his MP. Ugh.

I also went to the dinosaurs first and not only once :(
