Ugh.... I know Dan addresses this but the two controller option (control layout 2.2; put the 1st controller in the right hand and the 2nd in your left) is 1000x better than default. Even if you don't like to use two controllers the Turok controls option is still better than default.

Late into the N64 life-cycle, Rare released a comprehensive list of cheats that game testers could activate during gameplay via controller input. You could activate God mode, dual-wield ALL guns, refill your ammo, AND keep game progression upon completing a mission successfully.

It was the only way I could play the two secret levels since I didn't have a gameshark.

Here's part of the one where James Bond goes to a ninja training school and dresses up as an Asian guy. The entire section is basically as bad as you'd expect. Though I do like the guy introducing his ninja school and they cut to a bunch of screaming guys running at the camera.

It's wild how many of that gun-barrel intro there are. He takes a knee in a couple of them!

I like how Dan crosses his eyes to do his "accent."

Vinny, please PLEASE bring in Shogo: MAD. I loved the hell out of that game, and I can't wait to see how poorly it's aged.

I’ve been waiting for this! I played so much of this game when it came out. I’ve only seen the Brosnan and Craig movies and I don’t have much interest in going back to the older ones, but my wife’s uncle played 009 in Octopussy so I’ll probably get to that one at some point.

That being said, looking forward to this series!!

I desperately hope they tilt the cartridge of this game at some point.

Clearing the Facility in under 2:05 is still one of my proudest achievements. That was a royal pain in the ass.

@monetarydread: 1.2 (solitaire) would be the way to go I think, sort of the most you can get out of a single controller.

Straight up, no BS - if you use the 1.2 Solitaire control scheme, this game is easy mode. It's so much more accurate and better than the default controls, and effectively turns the C buttons into WASD keyboard 1st-person shooter movement controls, and the N64's analog stick into a proper aim/look control like any modern 1st-person shooter's right analog stick, while Z still fires your gun.

FYI Many of the Bond movies are free on Amazon Prime right now

Anyway, I have a bone to pick with the idea that people only ever managed to clear 00 Agent with gamesharks. I was the kid at my primary school who people went to to get the 00 Agent levels cleared and the cheats unlocked, and I didn't have a gameshark. It was hard, but not impossible, and I had a lot of fun doing it.

Except Train. Train is just about impossible. Even just clearing it on 00 Agent is probably going to bring this video series to a standstill.

Mars Attack Film & 40s? Haven't seen that movie in ages haha.

@vinny You're right about NOLF. No one knows who has the rights to it, and what's worse, companies don't seem interested in finding out who does. Kotaku went in depth on this a few years back.
