Putting in my vote for more of these, I would not have enjoyed this movie as much as I did without this sweet commentary. Synch worked out well.

I've said it once in this very thread, but I feel like I need to hammer this point. US bud is disgusting.

Also, being Russian, this is one of the greatest comedies of all time. I'm in tears every single time.

I watched it on Canadian Netflix and it synced up perfectly. (Also, a movie that's on Canadian Netflix and not American, how weird is that?)

This was the first time I saw this movie and I enjoyed it greatly. Do more of these, this was awesome.

My suggestion for future episodes is to only cover movies you've both seen. I'm certain the large amount of dead air in this episode was solely due to Drew seeing Rocky IV for the first time, plus Dan not wanting to talk and therefore ruin certain moments. This won't be a problem if both participants have already seen the film to be discussed, just like in a DVD/Blu-Ray commentary track.

I liked that it was 1 person who'd seen it and 1 who hadn't, but this was my first time watching the film too. Maybe it depends what this is for - to share thoughts on a film you're re-watching, or an enjoyable, light accompaniment to your first watch.

This was fun! Would definitely listen to more of these in the future. A few years ago Destructoid did some game-themed movie podcasts like these, they watched Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil, Double Dragon and (regrettably) the Mario Bros movie.

But yeah! Maybe some Arnie classics like Commando next time would be good too!

I was on a treadmill for all 106 minutes of this podcast. The podcast was awesome. Great movie choice. The sync stuff worked great for me. I hope that every movie they do is one that at least one of them hasn't seen.

Holy shit I'm 10 minutes in and this is now my favorite feature on GB. God lord the uncle Paulie robot killed me!

@ravelle: I really doubt the American dirtbag would hit him as well as the Russian dirtbag did when he was a kid. But Ippo's great! If one day Dan goes crazy and decides he wants to watch a 100+ episode shonen fighting anime, the one about boxing is probably the best choice.

It would be cool to see more of these! Giant Bomb members do have a habit of bringing up certain movies, and I think it would be nice to have some more of those covered in this format, as a younger person who did not grow up on American action movies.

@divergence: well the USSR collapsed, the former soviet republics are independant, and none of those countries including Russia are communist anymore so...yeah we won the cold war. Nobody said we were going to stop beint armed to the teeth. That's never going to change.

I know it's all been said already, but really liked this. Didn't mind the 'dead air', made it feel more like hanging out with Dan & Drew rather than another Rifftrax clone. Turning up the audio every so often was useful, sometimes either video or audio got paused and was helpful to resync.

This worked perfectly and i love this feature. please keep this going. Maybe once a month? Thank you everybody

Wow that was the dumbest movie I've ever seen, they made no strive for realism at any time.

Watched this last night along with the podcast. Loved everything about this format, including Dan's primer on the previous Rocky films. Audio synced up great! Really appreciated the periodic film audio, as I was streaming the film so a little "pauseplay" once or twice got me through it! More please!!!

I work from home so it's nice to put this on and have a little bit of social character in my weekdays.

In the future having some warning of which blurays/dvds to pick up before the next episode would be nice. Maybe in unprofessional fridays or the podcasts.

I loved the movie and the commentary, but I could not get over that fucking robot the entire time. Like it's not even a one time gag, but it's there for the whole movie. I came for a lesson in patriotism and never giving up and 80's jams, but here's this goofy robot!

Really though, it was a good time. 40's were drunk, films were watched. Really hope you guys do another one soon.
