@alex@vinny@danryckert So the reason Gal Gadot is in the credits is because they filmed a flashback sequence with her which ended up on the proverbial cutting room floor.

Basically Letty went on a little vision quest while Dom was in Tokyo, where she did a whole amnesia tour trying to get her memory back. During all this, she goes back to the Mexican hospital where she first woke up post-amnesia, and she has a flash of a memory in which she remembers Gisele racing Letty away from the scene of her "death" and taking her to the hospital, thus revealing that in the fourth movie Giselle saved Letty's life at some point off-screen. Which you would think would've come up in 6, but whatever.

I kinda wish they'd kept Letty's amnesia quest in. Not only would it have been nice to see Gal Gadot again, I'm not crazy about Letty's "I'm leaving you to go find myself, oops that didn't work so I guess I'm back now" schtick in the first half of this movie without it. Once you know that they removed a whole subplot which followed Letty as she tried to piece her memory back together, you can tell there's a big hole there.

Pretty much everything the Rock does in this movie is my favorite thing ever. From giving Jason Statham a Rock Bottom through a glass table, to flexing out of his cast to crashing an ambulance into a plane. He's just the best.

For how silly these movies are, they really nail the ending of this one. Just a really well done, touching tribute.

Salute, mi familia.

No Caption Provided

That ending sure was rough indeed, hit me hard. I can't believe I've grown fond of that mumbling goof from the first two movies.

If F8 isn't a giant tribute to Paul Walker and his character I riot.

Also this is probably what F9 and onward will look like.

So in reference to Dan's question about whether you could drive from anywhere in Europe/Africa/Asia to anywhere else in those continents... yes... For example according to Google maps you could drive from Finland to South Africa in 213 hours. I have too much time on my hands.

As someone who saw 1,2,4 at release and enjoyed them at the time I never went out of my way to see any of the others. I always thought/knew the rest were campy, fun, good movies but holy shit are they campy, fun, amazing movies!

I'm pretty sure Dan was talking about Horizon when Hobbs gets the minigun. Aloy can tear off disc-throwers and miniguns from the robots and use them against them.

Also, I have to admit I teared up a bit... well, actually quite a lot... during the ending. I hadn't struck me so hard when I watched the movie for the first time. But after going through this journey with la Familia Beast, dammit, it hit me hard.

I also screamed like a little girl during the action scenes. This movie is great.

I still contend that this movie's ending is one of the greatest -- perhaps -- in existence (hyperbole, I know). Throughout the entire film, the specter of Paul Walker's passing hangs over Furious 7, and you can't help but wonder if he'll survive the next scene or not. And then the final minutes come, where the writers/director/whoever tie the whole message of the series back to the family motif with a moving song from Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth. I don't think I've ever seen such a touching tribute to an actor/character before.

What a beautiful mess of a movie. I'm so glad I took this journey, I went into this only seeing the first and third movies and never truly appreciating them. Thank you Alex, Vinny, Dan for these commentaries fantastic work and because of you I will always be ride or die!

Last and far from least thank you to Paul Walker. RIP brother.

I want to thank you guys for this fantastic ride. I really enjoyed watching these movies with your commentary, even tho i had nothing but "hate" towards these movies after only seeing 1,2 and 4 before this thing started. I think i'm in love with this movie franchise now. I also have some beers in me (kinda your fault) and i'm not a native english speaker so sorry if this sounds stupid.

Anyone know where I can rent this digitally in Canada? All the rest were available on google play, but for some reason it doesn't seem to be rentable on any of the Canadian marketplaces and I don't really have $20 to shell out on a movie I'm probably never going to watch again :/

Edit: Couldn't find it to rent, but the Canadian Microsoft store has the HD edition on sale for only $9.99

https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/store/movies/furious-7-extended/8d6kgx03mv9j

Edit 2: Also, I was wrong. I'd totally watch that again. Best in the series by far.

Well I was bawling for about 5 mins. holy crap.. Haven't watched this one since it first came out.

For such a dumb series to have expanded and lasted this long, there is a real emotional impact here. Especially all the real world implications between these actors. It must have been so hard to finish this film.

I dont think i've ever enjoyed neither these movies nor the site as much as i have before seing this (and you are my favourite site on the internet for the last 3 years). The fusion of these films with your personalities just makes this one of the best pieces of media i've experienced on the internet, period. Lets hope the rest of the series is as great as it has been and i cannot thank you enough for making me rewatch them all. Thanks a bunch duders and keep up the good work, with this and the beastcast. Love you beasters!

I will say pretty firmly that anyone seeing this without knowing Paul Walker had died will have absolutely 0% clue that he died after seeing this movie - which is a serious achievement for all involved.

I'm someone who saw the original in the theater opening weekend and then swore this off forever, but have really found a love for this series of films thanks to this podcast series. Thank you GB. It's "sad to imprison a beast", or whatever Vinny wants to say to CBS corporate.

Bawling like a lil baby at the end along with them. I mean, I've seen this dumb movie before, but this has been such an awesome ride.

I hope they do a spoilercast, and then when it comes out on blu-ray, they do a proper Film & 40s of F8.

I dunno man, these last two movies have been a bit too much for me. It kind-of just blends together. The send-off at the end of this is really nice, but I didn't feel that much at all. (I get emotional easily when watching movies as well, so it was surprising.)

The last three movies seem like great movies to drink cheap malt liquor and hang with friends - but I don't think I'd be able to watch them outside of that context.

I cried more this go round than I did during the theatrical release. Snot, trembling lower lip and a box of tissues. That ending is so fucking perfect. I saw somebody mention in an earlier film that Vin Diesel had named his daughter Pauline. That really says everything you need to know about the relationship between him and Paul. I can't imagine what it must've took to hold it together creating that ending. Their cars going their separate ways. *tears up again*

Who knew a movie involving The Rock taking a drone down with an ambulance can have one of the most touching farewells to an actor I've ever seen?

My rank: 5, 7, 6, 3 (I just love the setting and Han), 2, 1, 4

Somebody needs to do a supercut of every time Vinny can't process something and just loses his mind for two minutes until Alex calms him down.

I was disappointed of how little The Rock was in this movie when I first saw it, but when he is used it's pretty great. That ending scene didn't make me tear up, but it was really beautiful. Thanks for doing this great series.

I've had the blu rays for forever and was waiting for... something to finally make me watch them. Now I know it was fate. Watching these films with Dan, Alex, Vinny, and guests was so much fun and I'm glad it's how I first experienced this franchise. Looking forward to F8! I don't usually see movies day one in the theater, but I might make an exception this time.

Edit: Oh, and here's my rank - 5, 6, 7, 3, 4, 1, 2

I was so happy that they realized how ridiculous it was that Lucas Black showed up to play an 18-year-old character when he was 35 years old.

And then that ending happened and I had tears streaming down my face. God bless Paul Walker, the Fastest and Furiousest among us. o7
