Death Race deserves more praise!

It's the best only mashup of Mario Kart and The Running Man. I get bummed out every time Dan references Ian McShane in a Fast and Furious context.

Much like Dan and Vinny, this was my first experience with the series. I watched every film for the first time alongside these podcasts. I came in here expecting nothing but dumb stunts and fast cars. Ending this now, I'm honestly surprised. I'm shocked to find tears in my eyes for an actor I never watched in a film before two months ago. Thank you, Dan, Vinny, and especially Alex, for introducing me (and I hope others in the GB community) to the series. This has been a wonderful journey, I'm glad I could tag along for the ride.

Movies in the same tier are of debatable ranking within their group, but this is my current opinion.

The hardest part about feeling 5 is the best is that I think it requires having seen 1-4, which I would have a very hard time recommending to someone objectively.

As Alex pointed out, this series takes its lore surprisingly seriously, which ends up making it tougher than you would expect for newcomers.

P.S. - was really disappointed with the Rousey content. It made Gina Carrano look like an Oscar winner.

Man, this GB series was incredible. My dad is way into cars, so we saw the first movie when it came out in theaters when I was a young teenager. Ever since then it was a guilty pleasure for me. My fiancee also happened to be into these movies, and we've seen every one in the theater since we started dating in '10. It's a rare fusion of something I liked pre-giant bomb with the guys doing commentary over it. Movies rarely make me cry, but this one had me going. They handled it better than I could have imagined.

Final ranking: 5, 1 (guilty pleasure), 7, 6, 3, 4, 2

RIP Paul, and salute mi familia.

This is probably as good a moment as any to say something nice about Paul Walker, but there was a movie that came out 2 years before this one called "Hours," that I thought he was very good in. It got some extra attention during all the news coverage after his passing because it was the only recent non-F&F project he worked on.

This might be the only live action movie I tear up at. Pixar movies and Disney movies even going back to The Lion King I tear up at.

But damn. The fact that there is a real death. I'll miss you Paul.

It has been so much fun watching this series again with the Beast crew. I hope they continue to do these with other series. I've always loved the F&F movies though, and it was a blast listening to Dan and Vinny getting to experience them for the first time. Alex did a great job guiding them through it all as well.

My Ranking: 3,5,6,7,1,4,2. I am fully aware of Tokyo Drift's issues but I still love it. The setting is great, the racing is great, and Han is the best character in the series. The acting is bad, but in a good way. There's just something about that movie that even though I think 5 is the better movie, I still like 3 the best.

I cried more this go round than I did during the theatrical release. Snot, trembling lower lip and a box of tissues. That ending is so fucking perfect. I saw somebody mention in an earlier film that Vin Diesel had named his daughter Pauline. That really says everything you need to know about the relationship between him and Paul. I can't imagine what it must've took to hold it together creating that ending. Their cars going their separate ways. *tears up again*

Man I knew that they were "brothers" and loved each other. But knowing that Vin named his kid after Paul. God damn. I can't watch that ending anymore. It's too much.

So glad the bombers teared up as well.

It really is about family. The reason the fast movies have been able to bring "heart" and "family" to the films is that they crew actually is like family. Especially when it came to Vin and Paul; they really were brothers on and off the set. Makes it even sadder.

Man, that ending. RIP Paul.

7 has some dumb moments and occasional iffy direction by Wan, but it's a fun movie.

Also I love how you guys are on the verge of calling F6 the best one, but never actually do. While 5 was great, 6 feels like the apex of the Lin movies. Really loved watching that one.

After watching them again, I feel like my ranking of the series would be 6, 5, 3, 7, 1, 4, 2.

Thanks again for doing this duders, it was a treat to go through these movies with you guys.

And remember: There's always another gear!

Following the release of Furious 7 (2015), Vin Diesel said regarding a possible sequel:

I was trying to keep it close to the vest throughout the release. Paul Walker used to say that [an eighth film] was guaranteed. And in some ways, when your brother guarantees something, you sometimes feel like you have to make sure it comes to pass... so if fate has it, then you'll get this when you hear about it. [Furious 7] was for Paul, [the eighth film] is from Paul.

Also, a HUGE thank you to GBeast for this amazing series! As a relative newcomer to the F&F franchise (I'd seen a few of them isolated), This has been an amazing way to watch them.

Oh man, Denzel Washington turned down a role in this. That probably would've made this one my favourite, though it's still quite high up there with it's stupidity and the ending. That said, the stupidity was definitely made better and more tolerable because of the Beasties.

This whole series was a great feature, really hope you don't take too long before you give the Film & 40s treatment to a new movie again.

P.S. I'm with Vinny. Ludacris becoming a super genius has been the stupidest thing in this whole series.
