This was great! For a fan of campy horror movies, I don't think I'd seen this one before. Also the sergeant (Peter Mensah) who Alex said was in the sequel to 300 was actually in the original. He was the dude who got This is Sparta-ed.

Anyone know what book series Vinny was talking about around 12 or 13 minutes in?

Likely Dennis Taylor's "We Are Legion (We Are Bob)" series.

"Bob wakes up a century later to find that corpsicles have been declared to be without rights, and he is now the property of the state. He has been uploaded into computer hardware and is slated to be the controlling AI in an interstellar probe looking for habitable planets."

Double feature? We're getting both? fuck yeah!!! Also I only remember seeing bits and pieces of this so here's hoping it holds up as well as I remembered.

Lexa Doig plays Talia in Arrow, no wonder why she looked so familiar.

There's a piece of music that I always assumed was in the movie, but was actually in the trailer:

This is a legitimately good, self aware Friday 13th movie. People saying it's dumb or terrible have some guilt issues they need to work through.

Pretty certain there was a Screened.com video feature on this film. I think Alex might have even narrated it. On top of that. there was a Screened feature on those two '90s mars films Dan mentions near the beginning. It's too bad how those videos have vanished from the internet.

Glad they decided to do both flicks. Jason X was funny and I'm looking forward to The Thing next week.

I always get this mixed up with Dino Crisis 3 when talking about unnecessary/great space sequels.

For those curious: there’s actually an on-going Kickstarter to publish the previously unseen full-length novel by John W. Campbell that was abridged into “Who Goes There?”, the basis for “The Thing.”

Awesome recording guys. I was thinking, the best thing for syncing may be reading the first few names in the opening credits out-loud as they appear. Its hard to sync music, unless you know the song, because you can't tell which stream is ahead of the other. But awesome recording, I never really got into Mystery Science Theater but these Film & 40's are great!

"nobody loves Videodrome"

omg Vinnie has lost his mind! Videodrome is such a great movie. Pirated satellite, pr0n, body horror, evil media mind control... it's timeless! Death to the New Flesh, Long Live Videodrome!
