My least liked F&F movie. Poor coming of age story, in Lucas Black.

That said, knowing Jeff's opinion on it, the schedule worked out perfectly for him to be in NY to watch it with the BEastcoast crew.

I love me some Tokyo Drift. It's funny, I didn't even see it when it came out because I thought it would be God awful, but it's my second favorite (maybe even my top spot) movie in the series.

Jeff's not as accepting of Dan's constant questions about what's happening on screen.

One my new favorite premium feature next to demo derby.

I am so happy to see that Jeff is on this one. I was hoping he'd be on it since I know he loves this movie so very much. I will be watching this when I get home today.

My understanding was that RWD was the true way to drift, but it's possible with others. AWD "drifting" is really power sliding, or something like that.

Someone should tell these guys Yakuza 5 has an entire street racing subplot with Car Heat Moves. They got some stuuuuff to look forward to.

Most drifting is done with RWD. The Mustang is actually rear wheel drive. They did make the car in the movie, but they had to make it compatible with the Skyline transmission they used for it.

My rating for this one stands at 2/10 on IMDb. Let's see if I'm gonna have a better time with it thanks to GB.

This is both the best and the worst F&F movie. Can't wait to listen/watch later.

Highlight of the week again.

I didn't realize that drifting seems like such an alien concept. I've certainly never drifted, but it all seems fairly straight-forward to me (pun intended). Then again, I guess I could be completely wrong.

But as far as I understand it, the basic method is to use breaks (or the handbreak) to lose grip on the rear wheels and get the tail end sliding. Then all you do is control the drift by feathering the accelerator while turning. Letting off the gas will slow down the tires, which lets them start gripping the ground better, which causes more forward momentum that straightens the car up. While stepping on the gas will keep the wheels spinning, reducing the grip and maintaining the sideways momentum. So it's just a balancing act of having just the right amount of acceleration at each given moment, combined with the correct turning angle.

@icystorm: Yeah. Wanted to scream at the screen each time Jeff said these are FWD cars. If you want to drift, you get a RWD car.

I'm so happy. The PAX East timing with Jeff being there just made this so much better.
