The "game play" part seems pretty annoying, but the production values and actors in this aren't completely terrible

Oh wow. Ya. This FMV adventure game is... something else. I'm surprised tehy got this working. It is notoriously difficult to get working on modern machines.

Weird how Kurt Rambis is in this. I checked and his brief IMDB page is mostly him playing himself. This is one of the very few roles where he played someone else.

The helpful subway squatter is apparently Bruce Glover, Mr. Wint from Diamonds Are Forever and father of Crispin Glover.

Everyone should take a look at the walkthrough for this game, too. It's a delight, the person writing it doesn't know exactly what to do, either. Everything is "I tried this and I got through it," it's less like instructions and more like someone just trying to explain what happened.

I dont think I've ever seen the movie. Is it watchable still?

I've been wanting that ever since they mentioned a potential Keanu retrospective for the series. It was kinda bittersweet coming to the site today and seeing a new Film & 40s and a Johnny Mnemonic feature only for them to not be the same video.

Also bittersweet seeing that this game included the best part of Johnny Mnemonic, the thumb laser, only for them to less than half ass its presentation, basically expecting the viewer to just imagine a laser there.
