People's reaction to these stories is a pretty good gauge if they grew up in rural areas or urban ones.

It's certainly not having to shovel a desiccated raccoon corpse out of an old doghouse. Or seeing your pet dog splattered on the highway right by your driveway. Or watching your dad haul roadkilled deer into the ditch so the eagles can feast on their carcasses.

Weird hardline stance to take on the days of the week. I mean, Sunday is part of the weekEND, and everyone goes to work starting on Monday, so I don't know if I'd say it's the most insane shit ever to call Monday the first day of the week.

I've always thought the "weekends" were supposed to be like "bookends", where they are at the start and stop of a row of days.

@mikelemmer: I grew up as basically the first real city boy in a long line of country folk, so I pretty much got the worst of both worlds haha.

I still vividly remember watching a sheep being slaughtered for the first time when I was about 4. I feel like basically nothing tops the visceral horror of seeing organs literally falling out of a large mammal and into a wheelbarrow.

When Dan first joined the Bomb Crew shortly after Vinnie moved to the Beast Coast, I was bummed because I thought they'd be a great duo, but would rarely get to collaborate on stuff with a whole country between them.

I suppose technically Sunday is the first of the week, but its definitely shifting to Monday. I think most consider Sunday as part of the weekend. Dan even said Sunday was a weekend day in this video. Weekend to me means the end of the week so if Sunday is part of that, then it can't be the first day of the week as well. On the other hand, I sort've like the bookend argument. In the end though, does anyone really wake up on Sunday and go "time for the start a new week"? This is a silly thing to argue about either way though lol.

I'm not sure how much money I'd pay for a Vinny/Dan split-screen all of the time, but it is definitely not zero.

I understand it's part of his on-screen character, but it's pretty dumb (and not in a good way).

The game's kinda whatever for me and I think I couldn't tell you anything of what happened in this video gameplay-wise if asked, but I really enjoyed Vinny and Dan just talking about.

Right, but what I'm hearing is that Saturday is at one end of the shelf and Sunday is at the other end. Two bookends. Actually, it's on an entirely different shelf of days! It's late, and this concept is too heady for me right now.

Cherries grow on trees. Beets are a root. "Januar" and "März" are German. Milk from different animals tastes way different, i dont know about pigs but we dont milk them.

Also shaking my head at Dan playing this with a controller. I'm not a PC elitist by any stretch, but this game's way better with mouse and keyboard.

Funnily enough... It can be pronounced as two syllables, but this is strictly for monsters.

Dan wants to believe Sunday is the beginning of the week and yet towards the end calls Sunday 'A lazy weekEND day'.

I know there are valid religious reasons for the different weekend schedule, (as mentioned in the comments), so in that case, I never want to hear Dan contradict himself by calling Sunday part of the weekend. Be consistent. Haha.

MYSTERY SOLVED!

My dad emailed me the following this morning after seeing the stream:

"I can shed some light on the dead bunny situation. I was mowing once and ran over a nest of bunnies. It was awful. You guys were discussing how the rabbits wouldn’t hear the mower coming. I think the key here is that they were bunnies, and probably not mobile yet."

He says that it was actually on our side of the fence, right next to the church yard. Case closed!

According to international standard ISO 8601, Monday is the first day of the week. It is followed by Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Sunday is the 7th and final day.
