I really appreciate Jan doing so much panel flipping to keep the everyone shown equally in da big slot. The delay in the audio switchover I can only imagine on his end what it's like finding the right source for the "prime feed". Great work! Is it possible to make macros as you make the layouts? To save them for repetition's sake?

Where you play as a squad of Ghosts in this game.

Oh, hey, Alex and I have the same recording headphones.

Heck yeah, Ghost of Tsushima. Infamous 2 was one of my favorite PS3 games, and while Ghost isn't at the top of my PS4 list overall, it's certainly in the upper tier of 2020 games I played. Sucker Punch does great work. And Legends seens like a super-polished Tenchu Z.

Hope Jason feels better!

@daweboss: Thanks! I was in the process of setting up some macros actually mid stream but realized I made them all for the wrong inputs. Next time I'm hoping for a lot more of the process to be automated!

Man, this mode makes me want to play this game some more. I got kind of tired of stabbing dudes in the neck, but doing it with friends could make it a lot of fun.

There's someone at my job who has remarked a few times that "Ghosts of Tsushima" (sp) was one of their favorite games ever, and I resisted snarkily telling them it was surprising they did not know the correct name of one of their favorite games. As the deck on this video posits, perhaps they were just talking about the newer multiplayer portion of this game ;)

Technically the title isn't grammatically incorrect, but saying "Ghost of Tsushima" certainly feels wrong in my mouth every time I say it aloud, so I get why everyone's brain wants to default it to something else. If the title just had a "The" in it, I think it would read a lot better at first glance instead of people accidentally pluralizing it.

Like, if I were to develop a Sleeping Dogs spiritual sequel where you play a Hong Kong gangster with a cool nickname, the title of the game would be "The Butcher of Hong Kong." Calling the game "Butcher of Hong Kong" just sounds clunky and awkward. I know this veers into "well God of War seems fine, it doesn't need to be The God of War" territory, but ultimately I think it varies a lot depending on context.

For whatever reason, there are enough English language works with titles like "The Ghosts of [whatever]" or "Ghosts of [whatever]" that prior to this game, that's what a lot of people are primed to expect when they glance at the title. Maybe Ghosts of Mars ruined a generation of people. Or maybe "Tsushima" has so many S sounds in it that the Ts at the start of that word mentally copies itself backwards onto the end of Ghost. Humans are weird.

I'd really love to know what internal justification they had for the actual title, when "The Ghost of Tsushima" is right there. It's the worst title debacle since the The Outer Worlds/Outer Wilds game of chicken where neither side flinched.

I've been replaying Prey recently, and I've really come to appreciate how strict the stealth in that game is. When you're ten feet up courching on a pipe, everyone will see you. Everyone. It felt frustrating back when I first played the game, but it has really forced my current playthrough to consider fully the positioning and visibility of my character. When I think about it in terms of actual field of vision, that's well within what the average person would see quite clearly. Standing on a pipe and hoping not to get noticed is like a child standing behind curtains with their little toesies sticking out into the room.

Anyway, I bring that up because watching the character in the game walk across a hanging rope that's maybe 8 feet off the ground and go unnoticed is so goofy.

Hot take: Prey is one of the 10 best games of 2017. Excellent game.

@ironoctopus89: god Prey fuckin owns. Mooncrash is secretly one of the best DLC ever made, too. I wish it were standalone so I could introduce my friends to Prey with a lower cost barrier to entry.
