Phil Spencer was great on this. Hell everyone was great, and that final segment was FANTASTIC.

The Jenga match is indeed intact. It would be a crime to cut such a miraculous event.

Yeah, he`s a really good PR person and at the same time he sounds like a human being doing it, which is a difficult thing to pull off!

phil spencer's a great guest, but i'm curious if he's still saying scorpio is only beneficial for 4k here. guess i'll find out.

I really appreciate Phils honesty, but it bums me out that Scorpio is seemingly just targeted at 4k, I was hoping it'd make for better looking and more stable games at 1080p too, which is why I wanted one.

@big_jon: He did say that developers are free to use the powers as they see fit, so it`s not like developers aren`t allowed to do other things with it than targeting 4K. But yeah, that seems to be the focus right now.

Cara was interesting to listen to, what she had to say... but she used the word like so often I honestly almost skipped her speaking. Seriously, it was like every other word out of her mouth. That is a bummer because she had some interesting things to say. Maybe she was just nervous, but she needs to work on those communication skills to better articulate her views in this particular way. Was hard to listen to. Still liked her on there though!

They could probably make a single video of that Phil Spencer bit alone. Phil said some pretty major things there, and said them in a very rational way that made sense.

Just got done with the Phil Spencer segment and you guys REALLY should release that as a separate video. People need to watch that. Watching that, I have a greater understanding of Microsoft's intentions and confidence in the Xbox brand.

Brad Shoemaker: "That was actually something that I was curious about that when you talk about 4K being the emphasis of that thing, will there be any mandate coming out of Microsoft toward developers saying like 'You should really focus on 4K here' or is it like carte blanche for them to pursue that extra power?"

Jeff Gerstmann: "If they just want to have a 1K (1080p) frame buffer, and then, you know, upres to 4K, to take advantage of and use that power in different ways..."

Phil Spencer: "Yeah, we will absolutely be open to that. I mean we're going to talk more specifics of Project Scorpio, so we'll get into more of the details, but I think creative freedom in how you want to use the power of the box is something that I always support. I mean, I came from first party as you know, so putting the right tools in the hands of the creators, the best creators, is our job as the platform. One thing though that we should make sure everyone understands, every game that comes out in the Xbox One family will run on the original Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Scorpio, so we had some questions if there are going to be Scorpio exclusive games. No, the line of games you get to play is the same, regardless of [one you own]."

I was kinda nervous about these new console's. I dont want console's releasing on some cell phone type timetable. But, what I got from that interview was that Xbox One S is just a slim console and Scorpio is basically a console for 4k TVs and when a game has "dynamic resolution" you get a small performance benefit from that.

Phil Spencer seems like a good dude. His responses felt really honest and at the very least he knows the message, his audience, and spits good game.

The final couch of guests on the final night of E3 is going to be madness and I am so ready for it

I always respect Jeff but he's at his absolute best doing interviews that draw in his knowledge and experience and the name he created for himself in the industry.

I wish he could do an interview segment with people on a couch at least once a month or so. It doesn't all have to be focused on playing games.

Or even more content like Brad did with the Uncharted developer. Brad did a great job in that one as well.

Cliff and Greg both kind of rub me the wrong way in general so that segment was...uncomfortable. And then I went to bed. Looking forward to what came after though, sounds like it was goooood stuff :D

That FFXV VR demo sounds hilarious as hell. Embrace the new reality

Phil spencer was great, always manages to make good conversation even though he obviously has certain things he can and can't say. Really like the ethos he's putting out there and how positive he was about everyone, while being very honest about mistakes they've made and where they need to improve.
Everyone was really good on this, but wow that last segment... This is honestly fast becoming my favorite after hours shows they've done.

This is weird... so at around 3:02:48 it sounds like someone farts and the mic picks it up. Am I crazy? Was it something else? Does it even matter since we all fart anyway?

Going by what Phil said at the end, it really seems like industry people like the more open format of GB`s night shows. It`s pretty much the same thing Jonathan Blow said at the end of the The Witness video. There`s not enough shows where people can just talk like GB lets them do.
