No one is forcing people to send them stuff and just because Ryan asks for something doesn't mean it's the law to provide him with it. If people have money to spare why not? At least it provides some excitement from these videos. It's no worse than most of the crap people buy for themselves. Sure it would be better to send stuff to starving people in Africa or something, but you can say that about 99 % of the stuff people buy. Why buy a PSP Go when the money can save 10 children's lives? You can't think like that or you'll go crazy. 
 
I think it's a stupid waste of money to send them a bunch of stuff that they probably don't want (those bears are most likely going to be eaten by rats eventually in the trash) but people are free to spend their money how they want. That's on of the basics principle of capitalism. Sure a lot of people spend money on stupid stuff, but the minute you think you have the right to tell people what to buy, you are a communist like it or not. 
 
Also, those things look disgusting =P It made me not want to eat gummy for quite some time I think. It just doesn't look like anything a human is supposed to be eating.

Yeah, I guess I'm jealous that these guys get to have pretty much the greatest job in the world - niche press for something you're enthusiastic about - and they waste their time having people send them stupid shit and film it.  I could go somewhere else.  I do frequent other blogs as well.  But when these guys actually do their job, they are the best.  I only wish I could get more real content out of them and less of this kind of stuff.  It's called criticism.  If I didn't like the site at all, I wouldn't be here.  I'm not a troll.  I like the site... but think it could be better.  You're allowed to disagree.  That's fine.

  @Oncomouse: Oh get the fuck over youself.  God forbid they occasionally spend five minutes opening some of the gifts that fans were kind enough to send them and sharing it with us.  This isn't the first Mailbag video they've posted and I'm sure it won't be the last.  The posting of this video isn't preventing some MASSIVELY IMPORTANT VIDEO GAME CONTENT from being posted.   Those descriptions are there for a reason, if you're not interested then move on to the next video and spare us all your "GIANT BOMB IS SERIOUS BUSINESS" bullshit.
