As someone who's a huge fan of the post-SotN Castlevania series - I finished all of the GBA and DS ones including any extra modes, collectibles, etc. - I wouldn't care at all about it having an inverted castle or hewing to closely towards that particular game. Hell, it's not even the best one, Aria of Sorrow and Order of Ecclesia are much better and Dawn of Sorrow is just as good though slightly hampered by shitty touch screen gimmicks.

If Dan's going to do another guessing contest he should go with how Kevin Pollak's Chat show does Who Tweet It. Buzz in answer, gain 5 for correct, lose 3 for incorrect. maybe double for last question.

That guys question about whether to even attempt to apply for a job at a social/mobile game studio really rubbed me the wrong way. (I'm a guy who works at a social/mobile company, we're not all scumbags). Any experience is better than none.

@xeirus: Man it feels as if I've been counting down the days for like half a year. Don't remember the last time I was this anxious to play something.

@danryckert If you do a music quiz thing again, you should give the questions like you were going to - play the clips and take the responses one after another - and once you have all of them, play through the clips again as you give the correct answer to each one. Make them listen to the clips twice =P

I am not sure I believe that email, the part where he claims the developer said that no-one had made it past 4471 seems false. I've been playing on the bus for a few months and I'm in the high 6000s already, yes there are some fiendish holes but none that are impossible.

I don't think some people realise that you can hit the ball uphill and have it stick and not roll down.

I've seen a lot of people post screenshots calling holes impossible, when all you need to do is go up the hill a bit and then chip it in.

There's a youtube video of someone playing hole 17509 in Desert Golf. The guy in the mail is full of shit.

Man some folks around here seem to worry too much about the GB crew's opinions on the specific media that they hold dear. Relax guys :3 ! Does Jeff not liking the Witcher or Brad thinking that Kirkhope is better than Wise invalidate your own opinions or take away the enjoyment you get from your favorite games and music? Of course it doesn't! Love what you love and forget all the haters. Life's too short to get upset that Jeff Gerstmann thinks that David Wise's music sucks.

Of course Jeff doesn't like Witcher 3 and paints a grim picture of its performance. Of course!

Fallout New Vegas shouldn't at all be lumped in together with Fallout 3. I'm really not sure how anybody could come to the conclusion that NV is terribly written.

I don't really remember Jeff singing NV's praises when it came out, though. They all seemed pretty lukewarm on it, from what I remember.

I don't know why this made me laugh so hard. What possessed Brad to say doorbed?

The thing about Skylanders vs. Infinity is that Skylanders has had a big headstart to get people financially invested and all of those older characters are compatible with the new games. Infinity really screwed up the last time when it came to compatibility: 1.0 playsets don't work with 2.0, and not being able to play with non-canon characters in any of the playsets is lame... I'm very hesitant to get excited for 3.0 for this exact reason. I'm also of the opinion that Skylanders is simply a much better game if you don't care about toybox stuff. Infinity 2.0 feels very stiff and has really boring level/mission design in comparison to the recent Skylanders games.

When it comes to characters, I actually get more excited about seeing all the new Skylanders characters they come up with each year more than just seeing Disney, Marvel, and now Star Wars characters that just seem like they're being exploited. New last year to Skylanders there was a velociraptor with a helicopter backpack that could mow down enemies 28 Weeks Later style and shoot rockets. I also gave him a propeller beanie and a bubble pipe, because that just felt right.

My point is figs are delicious.
