It's probably weird for me to say this about a man who didn't even know I exist, but yesterday felt just as bad for me as I felt riding home on January 26th of this year, after my father had been pronounced dead. Like something incalculable had been taken away. Something that felt constant and safe like he'd always be around for me to listen to him just ramble about whatever. Both my father and Ryan.

Now they're both gone this year and I honestly don't know how to feel anymore.

I lost my mom in 2009 and the bombcast helped me get through the tough times.. this podcast is powerful, I love all these guys very much. I think I know how you feel. I broke down and cried several times since I heard the news about Ryan. Take care

I am so glad everyone on this website feels the way I do. Everyone in my life thinks it's silly cause I never knew the man. But I knew him so well. We all knew him so well. He was a best friend to all of us, even if we never met him.

Just hope he's off somewhere making people laugh.

This podcast gonna be for me a sendoff we gonna talk about it, laugh about it, cry about it and then move on, they don't need to make of every bombcast a homage to Ryan, everyone should reminisce their own way, the bombcast is about kicking ass and taking names.... UH UH UH UH UH.

Don't even know how anyone can record this podcast. God speed, guys.

There have been times in my life where I was very depressed and things were not going well, but somehow the Bombcast and the Quick Looks made things better. No matter how bad things were going in my personal life they could always make me laugh.

These guys are like family man. As far as I'm concerned, they can talk about Ryan on the bombcast as long as they need to.

Never met ryan but felt as though he was a ol highschool friend whom i could relate with on so many levels. Hearing about the loss of him has troubled me in so many ways that I cant quite understand. Ive listened to this man talk about nonsence for the past 5 years and now all of a sudden Im not going to hear him and jeff just feed off of each other I feel selfish in a way for feeling sorry for myself and wanting more. Its so sad to see such a good guy pass at such a young age its only 4 years older than me.... I hope he is looking down from above and sees all of the lives he has touched. He was such a great heart and a good guy and I never met him its crazy I feel like I know him..... Its crazy Ive lost people that I actually know and didnt feel this sad about. I will forever miss you ryan and hearing you on my wed morning drive to work...

This is gonna be rough.

Listening to last weeks podcast Brad says, "Next time Ryan's not here, let's do emails at the beginning." Super sad to think he had no idea Ryan would never be on another Bombcast again D'':

It's been one week since we lost Ryan. Granted, we didn't know until later, but 7 days ago, his bonfire collapsed. May the embers of that fire burn hot and deep within us all and inspire us to live each day to the fullest and bring as much joy to others as we possibly can.

Peace to all of Ryan's closest friends. May some solace come to you soon and may your hurt be tempered in to a stronger desire to do good in the world.

I have a hard time reading the news and twitter I just feel that everyone should be talking about Ryan. Out of all my friends I'm the only person who's dedicated to giant bomb I'm just glad that there's a community that understands how I feel about this. I always wanted to meet Ryan just to shake his had and tell him how much he means to a guy who likes video games to much, it's just starting to hit me now here comes the first tears sence the news came out .

I can't believe you guys who are going back and watching old GB stuff. I tried. Didn't work too well. :'(

I had no idea "This Year" existed THANK YOU! Now I have something to keep me (relatively) sane while hitting F5 every 3 seconds.

After all these years, this is the first time the Bombcast missed a Tuesday. Ryan, thank you for all your dedication. Tonight I will be listening to the Bombcast's of old. Good night.

You know, while waiting for the bombcast I just realised I never touched the Brad/Ryan Deadly Premonition Endurance Run. I guess I can have another 20-30 hours of Ryan, but it might be too sad to watch. Especially towards the end.

as long as it goes up before California Wednesday, the streak continues.

I also don't understand how you guys can go back and watch or listen to old stuff right now. I just get super sad right away realizing it never be the same again. Way better off avoiding all that stuff for the time being for me.

I really want to hear from the guys though, I know it might not be pretty but even though they might not know it we are all in it together or at least it feels that way for many of us.

I couldn't imagine they would let the stream be broken. Ryan has said on a couple of occasions they haven't missed a cast since 08 - said it with pride. I would think he would want a podcast, no matter what it contained. The Bombcast is his legacy.

For me it feels even worst reading the comments of everyone's grief. Those old videos provide some pleasant memories.

I'm so sorry you guys. I just saw that posted on twitter and, yeah, it hit me hard.

It's weird, I thought I was doing alright today even though I spent most of it reading people swapping stories about him, but both that image and his summerjam playlist really just made me break down.

RIP RTD.

I was so looking forward to all the stories. Just one more time.

Tears aren't supposed to come for someone I've never met before.

It will take time as we all fall back into our normal strides.

Ryan cannot be replaced, but the podcast, this site, all of us ought to continue. For Ryan and for ourselves.

Anxiously awaiting and simultaneously dreading the next podcast.

I made an account just to comment (long time listener).

I slept like crap last night and cried this morning when I woke up. I just can't believe he's gone. I feel like I've gotten to know Ryan on such a personal level through the site and the podcast. I felt like I was in the room with the guys talking about the things we loved. Every week we got together we talked, laughed, joked and poked fun and sometimes argued, but always with love and respect. That's friendship. Today, we'll get together and we'll all cry.

Ryan, you were an amazing man. I hope you know how many lives you've touched, and how much we'll all miss you. Your loss will be felt for a long time to come. I can't imagine game of the year deliberations, or another E3 without you. These next few weeks and months will be hard enough, but we'll all be reminded of your absence at every new game release, every press conference, every console release, and at any gaming event. You were a rock, a foundation, a constant in this ever changing medium. We lost so much. The world is a duller place without you. Goodbye Ryan.

I woke up two hours early today so I could listen to it before work. I lost it at the end when Vinny said how Ryan will change the way he will raise Max. And then I really lost it when Vinny said "thank you Ryan." Thank you Jeff, Vinny, Brad, Patrick, Alex, Drew, Matt, and Alexis for this fitting tribute. I loved every second of it and I'm sure Ryan would too.
