Elgato has been consistently shit for close to a decade. Buggy hardware, shit drivers. Almost every streamer I know has issues with Elgato HW.

Why people still buy their products is beyond me and OBS crashing and having to use particular settings just for elgato HW is basically par for the course as far as I’m concerned.

I don't know it it's just me but my podcast app of choice, Pocket Cast, is not listing this edition the premium Bombcast?

@jeff@brad The weird nomenclature for the different locations in "Getting Over It" - like "Devil's Chimney" comes from Rockleesmile a Twitch streamer who was one of the first people to regularly play it on stream, back when you only got the game as part of the Humble Monthly bundle.

His stream was popular enough that the names he gave the different locations as he encountered them (Devil's chimney, Orange Hell etc.) sort of stuck and have become sort of "official" names. Official enough at least that they are now used in the speedrunning community as terms for the different locations (in splits for example)

Rockleesmile also managed to fail the game at basically the last obstacle in the most hilarious, heartbreaking and unexpected way possible. Unexpected enough to even confuse the developer Bennett Foddy who was watching the stream at the time this happened (bfod in twitch chat).

Good luck Ben! Last summer I finally did a surgery I had been putting off too. It's been a huge relief in a lot of ways; I hope this brings you the same improvements (although mine was to my breathing, not my feet, so maybe not exactly the same improvements, that would be weird).

Funny to see Ben get this up in arms about a place offering to give you an XBOX with your diamond purchase, when Dan got married in a Taco Bell and Bianca was totally fine with it.

I can confirm the money rewards for trophies are repeatable. Still a shame it doesn't count all your previous trophies before signing up. I'd have a good $300 already :(

That Ben uproar over the getting a free xbox for buying a diamond seemed really weird. So when it comes to love saving money or getting anything in return should just not be a thing. For the record I agree it is a very strange promo I just don't agree with his take on the matter that your just not allowed to get anything back in return. This same kind of societal shit keeps people from using coupons because they don't want to be looked down upon.

@postal_pat: Same here. Pocket Casts (android) isn't listing this week's premium bombcast or beastcast. Or the "Seasons Greetings" ep, which I guess is supposed to also be in the bombcast feed.

@postal_pat: I re-subscribed to both podcasts in Pocket Casts. Now I've got two icons for each. The newly-added subscriptions show the new episodes. Album art was missing, but eventually showed up.

Maybe something to do with the API key?

I'm laughing so hard that the diamond ring-Xbox thing was brought up... cause thats what my boyfriend did!

Except we've been planning on getting engaged for years at this point. When we walked into Helzberg & saw the Xbox promotion we took that as a sign from the universe haha!

It was also pretty funny a couple weeks later when he suddenly got a new Xbox and we were both jokingly like "Hmm..... I wonder where THAT came from..." According to my boyfriend it was hilarious to see the Helzberg sales person walk out with a giant Xbox box in the middle of the store.

Ben's completely right though... it's really gross if the promotion is some sort of "lulz SHE gets diamondz and HE gets 2 gaaaaammeee!" sort of gross misogynistic bullshit. That's pretty fucked up.

In our case, at least, we're both happy that a purchase like this also came with an Xbox. I'm super pumped to finally play Cuphead & Fallout New Vegas (my fav game) again!

Oh, also I'm getting engaged. I guess that's pretty cool too.

When we were looking at rings together there were tons of ads and flyers about the deal all over the store but the sales person didnt mention it until we asked. I asked my boyfriend & he said when he went there to buy it he was looking at the sign & the sales person noticed and was like "AND YOU CAN GET AN XBOX!"

Apparently he didn't even confirm he wanted one. As they were finalizing the info about the ring she went out back, grabbed an xbox and bagged it.

To quote him: "she like just immediately assumed because I looked at the sign like IM NOT JUST THERE FOR THE XBOX DONT THINK IM JUST GETTIN THIS FOR THE XBOX JEWELRY STORE LADY"

Flavored candy canes are bad? Not sure if I've ever heard a worse take. The flavors are the only ones I like! Normal peppermint is so meh. Give me Sour Patch Kids or Starburst candy canes any day. I got some Warheads candy canes this year; they're alright. I just wish there were less in one package. I typically only get around to eating 3-4 before too much time has passed to keep them around comfortably, which means it doesn't make sense to get more than one box. I'd like to have a mix of flavors.

The live chat had a pretty negative reaction to when Brad said he'd like to see some sort of character progression in a new Left 4 Dead. I don't know why progression automatically means bad these days. I totally agree - while I like L4D and spent a lot of time playing both games, I'd be pretty bummed if there wasn't a larger reason to keep playing a new game of it. The structure those games have are kind of outdated now.
