Windjammers is not dystopian enough to be a future sport. I imagine something like jai alai with energy grenades watched by the ruling class while they snort purple cocaine in neo-roman garb and metallic makeup.

Windjammers so amazing, easily made up for the shitty GTA Online. Never seen Jeff quite so competitive and intense, dude really wanted to win but damn Vinny is good at Windjammers. Would love to see them play more Windjammers occasionally on streams.

Vinny should be the only one allowed to show off games like Saints Row, GTA, and Sleeping Dogs. His online character did look scary close to how he actually looks. Jeff was getting pretty ticked at the whole GTA thing and nobody playing Windjammers with him there for a while. Thankfully Vinny knew when to set it aside and get him back in a better mood with some Windjammers. I think everyone expected GTA Online to be a mess on opening day. It's kind of a shame that we have to expect that on pretty much every big release anymore but I guess it's just a reality we have to deal with for a few days until things settle down.

GTA Online might be one of the more busted launches I've seen in a while. Great show regardless, though.

So um, I was in and out of the stream when it was live. Presumably, they never made it into GTA Online for very long?

@cooljammer00: I like to think Vinny was the only player of GTA Online the first day. Jeff sort of got in but couldn't ever get a mission going, not sure Brad ever got past various loading screens. It was loading screens, loading screens and Vinny finding various ways to kill himself.

edit: Meant to say Vinny did run into a few other players. Well... they ran into him more precisely.

Yeah, it's pretty crazy. They had more problems than any MMO I've (seen) played on the first day. The longer it's been since I finished GTAV, the more I question whether or not that game was so great. I remember really enjoying it while I was playing it, but I also remember how poor some of that gameplay implementation was. I think it was at 38% completion I decided not to do any more side activities except for Strangers and Freaks, because all that stuff was just uninteresting busy work.

This online hassle has me remembering the bad stuff more than the good. I kind of think that I liked GTAV so much because of the setting and presentation, not so much the gameplay. I don't think I'll enjoy it online that much.

Rockstar trying to be innovative in character creation may have just set character creation back 15 years... hell WWF War Zone had a more robust and free character creation suite than this shit.

GTA Online's pretty rad when it's not breaking, but considering I'm liable to be playing that for the foreseeable future I'm kind of glad Windjammers is the highlight of the video. Bummer for those hoping to see some GTA though.

GTA V online has a lot of connection and glitch issues but it's so damn awesome.

The ending of this video is beautiful. Vinny is standing on top of another dead player's wrecked car giving the whole world the finger, and as it fades out you can see on the mini-map that another player just pulled up in a car off-screen and is staring at him.

Tragically I had never heard of Windjammers until this stream. I always appreciate Giant Bomb breaking out old games. Windjammers looks awesome.

Only about 30 minutes in and I'm loving Windjammers! Not sure why they thought it was a good idea to do this the day GTAO launched considering Rockstar themselves said its probably gonna be dicey. I really hope they come back to it when it's a little more stable. Jeff seemed like he was in a bad mood from what I saw.

The fact that the police go after you if they even see you in a stolen car is one of the absolute dumbest design decisions I have ever heard. Terrible.

Man, Windjammers looks HOT. I bet it'd be fun irl too. I wonder if you can reliably control a frisbee so that it would bounce off a wall to where you want it to go. Maybe you need special frisbees. Or special walls. I don't know but I want to try it.

I'm over an hour and a half into this and I don't remember hearing one Persona reference yet so I have no idea why you posted that but I still got a lot of enjoyment out of it so thank you.

OMG the sound of them using their joysticks, hitting the buttons, whatever, is driving me crazy. I cannot listen to that sound for more than a few seconds. Sounds like they're mashing them really hard too. Amazing they are still in good condition given the age of the NeoGeo.

Its the part where Vinny kills himself the first time, and Jeff says that the evoker didn't work like he thought it would.

They are hilariously bad at driving in GTA.
