So, the Iron Brigade DLC comes out this week? And Dead Island already had a DLC pack.

@Jumbs: I agree, but then again I've never gotten it so maybe I'm just bitter. I wish there was another way to encourage people to discuss the videos instead of just racing to load a page and then hammer that Post button. It's not a big deal but, damn, I do love "I love Mondays" videos and their awesome video loops.

TNT is going to be fantastic this week. Always be double saluting.

Oh yeah the ER is over. Expect to see more "I want another endurance run" comments, threads, emails etc.

As for this weeks content, I'm looking forward to seeing NeverDead.

Also if you live in the UK, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection comes out this Friday.

I was always aware of it and got a bit disgruntled when I went to 'legitimately' comment on a video missed the first spot just barely. I eventually got the quest by luck when I went to the homepage at 2 pm sharp (my time for the first schedule spot). I noticed the time, refreshed the page and the video was there. And yes, my comment was something along the lines of "fhjosd" just to make sure I get it. And I did.

What I'm trying to say is, not everyone is an asshole only trying to get the top comment. In fact, I think it's much worse when the first one is "I already have this quest."

Ha, when I got it I made a sentence that related to an article title ahead of time and just copy pasted it when the article went live. I deleted my post after I got first and it seems the person who commented after me got the quest as well.

Actually those posts did not start appearing en masse on GB untill that quest was introduced.

I never finished FFXIII, because it was not enjoyable.

Really? more crappy and horrible Iron Brigade? I would think a past TNT and a big and dumb QL will be enough of this shit... but I guess not... I know there aren't alot of new games that are coming out that have some sort of coop, but damn. I would much rather see a coop session in Revelations (though I hate everything related to RE) instead of this.. also, no more Endurance Run makes me sad.

The quest is not that bad because it doesn't let you say first and unlock it and if they took it away people would still post first. It's the fact that he went BACK and edited to say first. What the fuck?! That pisses me off. WHO DOES THAT?! Who cares!

@RAStemen: I wouldn't say there's any value to it, because "first" posts never add anything to the discussion, even if they say something innocuous like "can't wait for this" rather than "first." I think people will comment on videos regardless of any quest telling them to do so - though by the same token, there will still be those who crave to be the first post even if they aren't rewarded for it.

Most gaming sites I frequent do heavy comment moderation to remove stupid comments like that, and I was quite surprised when I saw that Giant Bomb encourages it. That doesn't really dampen my love for the site, but it does make me never scroll through the comments; the only reason I scrolled far enough to read yours was because "first" complaints were in some of the top comments.

Finally 2012 has started! some awesome games to look forward to over the coming weeks. I hope they have SC5 planned for next weeks tnt, I'd like to get in on that though I'm sure Trenched Iron Brigade's dlc will be fun to watch.

I was hoping for some Soul Calibur action on TNT this week.
