Jeff's Top 10 Games of 2009

This years GOTY Bombcast is going to be the same as last years; Brad chooses to support one game (MGS4 and UC2) while the others all will eventually agree on something else (GTA4 and Batman). And it will be the second year that Brad gets it right.

I can see it now, the 4hour podcast will be Jeff trying to persuade everyone else to pick MW2.

Good God, I'd forgotten Jeff's overpowering on-screen charisma. Attaboy, Jeff!

I'm definitely surprised by Jeff's top pick.  I assumed it was going to be Borderlands.  Well anyway, this makes things pretty interesting!

Meh Bad Company 2 makes MW2 look like a kids game. There is no way it deserves number 1, it's just too damn repetitive.

That multiplayer does not beat Batman or Uncharted 2 or shadow complex's singleplayer

Great list!  I loved MW2, to be sure, but I really hope Batman or Uncharted wins!

The video editing is totally messed up on this one.  For some reason Batman is halfway down the list and they accidentally put Modern Warfare as Jeff's #1 ;)

Very solid list. I was actually pretty surprised to see UFC: Undisputed on there though (I mean technically it's a sports game), but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Very nice top 5.

I'm pulling for the underdog, Batman:AA.

Uncharted and Batman, 5 and 6?! These lists are madness I say! Although the diversity is very interesting.

Other than the 'great Multiplayer maps', I agree with everything Jeff said about MW2.

Keep the stache Jeff, makes you look like an adult.

Jeff is excellent in front of the camera...felt very natural. 
 
Anyway...he might have finally convinced me to buy AC2.

So the framerate of the playback took a HUGE dive immediately after you said "uncompromisingly smooth framerate" and because I still haven't played MW2 yet, I thought maybe it was a deliberate joke. Then I skipped back and it didn't happen.

I completely agree about MW2. People seem to hate it a lot too much. My top four used to be pretty much the same as his (except with Batman instead of Street Fighter and a different order) until Assassin's Creed 2 came out and stole my life.

I'm glad Jeff had the balls to put Modern Warfare 2 as number one. I'm sure it will get plenty of hate from the "hardcore serious" gamers on the site.

I think how all the lists are going that either Uncharted 2 or Batman is going to win GotY which is fine by me because that game was awesome.

Hmm.  Interesting list Jeff ... it's a bit different from others out there and that's quite fair enough.  How many others would put Shadow Complex above Uncharted 2 but I guess I can see that you probably enjoyed that more.  I'm less sure of what the final GOTY is now going to be.  I'd previously thought Uncharted 2 but now think Batman could even scrape it.
