Jeff's Top 10 Games of 2009

I scratch my head at Shadow Complex at number 2 but then again I never really got into metroidvania games. Everything else on the list I like and is in good order. 

I'll admit I've certainly warmed up to MW2's multi-player than I did last time (while simultaneously loathing the single player campaign that I really enjoyed in the first), but I'd still probably rather be playing Team Fortress 2 or Left 4 Dead. Stupid broken computer...

Um no, MW2 was rubbish. I liked a lot of the games mentioned, especially Borderlands, but put MW2 aside please. It's not very original, how many War games do we need? Torchlight's not original either, but it should be up there somewhere.

Best list I've seen so far.

I would have to say that the douches who play MW2 are the only thing that deters me from that game...

Decent enough list, would have liked to see UC2 higher (still my goty, big surprise) and still disappointed to see a crappy fighter make yet another GB staffmember's list.  I think I'll have to start going elsewhere for reviews on fighting games in the future, given some of GB's track record. 
 
I def understand the position of the rest of the games on the list though.  Can't argue with most of them.

Borderlands is dah shiet!

definitely the best list, even if I didn't like MW2 much, for the SF and UFC love alone.

Great list Jeff =p Probably the closest to my own haha.

I love MW2 multiplayer but im dissappointed in the number of shipped maps.  I would have liked to see infinity ward go above and beyond the 16 sideways shuffle they did from COD4 and as a PS3 owner i have to wait till spring plus at least another 6 months which wouldn't bother me if there was more in the retail version.

I can't believe MW2 is number 1, but then again it's not MY OPINION, so power to you Jeff! Also I don't really play shooters on my consoles.  I'm really surprised with most of the lists having SF4 in them; guess I'm not too privy to the happenings at Giantbomb. Maybe they had a bi-weekly SF4 tournament at the office or something. Haha, yeah right... errr, right?

So we got Ryan backing Uncharted, Vinny backing Batman, Jeff backing MW, and presumably Brad will back Uncharted as well. No wonder this podcast is 4 hours.

Great list, surprised everyone is putting Batman before Uncharted, but ok.

Definitely love MW2 as well, just wish the online matching would let you cap player levels.  Being a rank 10 versus a dozen 70s sucks, and I doubt they love having noobs on their team.  Thank Bowling for Copycat.

Nice lineup Jeff, if I didn't have a job I would be playing MW2 all day as well as eating pizza, lol. Looking forward to what 2010 will bring.

To be fair, I don't think employment would prevent Jeff from eating pizza alone in the dark.

Jeff goes from a game I've never heard of, to a game I think many reviewers might shy away from calling GOTY simply because it might seem like pandering to the masses.
