Good way to end a video review. Also, is that Liquid Prince's PSN ID I saw there? Hmm...

I am going to pick this game up, and I just realized yesterday that this game is actually out. It has been said before on the Bombcast, but this game should be KNOWN to exist, not just pop out of nowhere. Still, I am going to get this and RE5 in one swoop a week from now.

I want a PS3 now... :(

The way he talks about this reminds me a lot of Jeff's review of gears of war 1 on gamespot.com. In that review he said it had amazing graphics (and it did for a 2006 game) and really awesome gameplay, but he said it wasn't too heavy on story. But he said KZ 2's AI is kinda meh, whereas Gears 1 had really smart AI.

LOL great reveiw Jeff. I JUST beat the singleplayer mode and I thought the game was nothing short of epic. Its viceral and engaging.

If I had a PS3 I'd probably buy this one...although I'm super tight on cash now so it is probably better that I don't own a PS3....hmm.

Wait, I thought the enemy AI was supposed to be really good (don't have the game), in that they can flank you, run from cover and cover and never stay in one spot, lob grenades, etc.???

Sounds like anyone who likes FPS games and has a PS3 should get this. Is it coming to the 360? (Just kidding, that would be like Halo on the PS3)

review was kick ass, i like this game alot but i can not get over the controls of the game, i switched to the alternate 2 controls as they were more like cod and i dont know if it was the game or the controller but it seemed really floaty. but that doesnt hurt my experiance with it, killzone 2 is a bad ass game for the ps3 or any console out right now.

It's games like this that make me wish I had a PS3

And just think, Killzone 3 will probably look even better.

I love the multiplayer. Great pacing and love the cycling game modes. Haven't even touched the single player.

Nice review Jeff.  No doubt the game is fantastic however without tweaking the controls its also fairly clumsy.  You will need to spend some time setting up your controller before you dive into this one, but once you tune in you will not be tuning out.  FYI - my settings are X +1 from normal and Y +4 from normal, also highlight ZOOM HOLD and set Button Mapping to 'Alternate 2'.  Thank me later.

yeah this game is excellent. i love it the online is awesome. and dude, these graphics, who would have thought an fps war game like cod4 could be just as atmospheric as a game like bioshock?

Wait, there have been FPS with good stories? (Yeah I know, System Shock 2, Bioshock and Half-life. Any others?)

The stories not bad it's just not really that engaging either. But then things like GoW2 tried to add a compelling story element, which led me from not knowing what was going on, to a cringe-worthy not caring.
I'm a PC guy through and through, so it's strange for me to be telling people how much I love a console exclusive FPS, but this really is the best console exclusive shooter since the first Halo.

Game doesn't re-invent the wheel, sure. But it does give it a good kick in the ass and sets new benchmarks that most probably leaves Infinity Ward in awe.
