It's freaking 3 hours long, and the guy manages to make it somewhat entertaining. I felt even more confused after having watched the video, Nomura is definitely a literal god.

I guessed this was the gimmick from Brad's comments last episode plus the "technical difficulties" Ben mentioned last week which coincided with Jeff being sick. Cool stuff!

I was hoping this was a sign this was going to happen more than once a week, but I guess not.

Less than an hour a week is going to make this a long and slow series. Especially considering how much Ben already forgot. Jesus christ...

Kingdom Hearts is a bad video game to me, but I'm glad there are those that enjoy it and I hope the new one is great for you fine fellows out there.

I'm glad they are continuing with this (at least for a little while) and it isn't them just trolling. I haven't watched it yet but I imagine this is going to be torture for Jeff.

This is a great gimmick for this series.

I'm playing it for the first time right now. I enjoy Final Fantasy games well enough that I can recognize all of the mainline playable characters, but my god am I bored to death. I just got to Wonderland, so I hope that when the game get's really Disney, then it will get interesting.

Fuck yeah Jeff. Awesome. But seriously this is going to take forever unless they either record longer episodes or two of them a week. Either way this is great I really enjoyed this game back in the day.

It's always fun to hear the crew talk about anything but this show doesn't really feel like anything.

The opening of Kingdom Hearts is fucking brutal man. I forgot just how long it takes to get good.

Really hope they don't do the Tarzan zone first, I seem to remember you can pick between 2 and Tarzan is not great either.

Don't know how to feel about this series. That last episode was better than I expected, so I had some hope, but most of this episode was mind-numbing, and a lot of it was not the fault of the game. It's just not fun to watch something where the people do not seem remotely engaged with what they're doing.

Hopefully it will get better now that they're off the island though. I want to like this.

@xeiphyer: Tarzan world is either the second or third world depending on how you do the order, Alice in Wonderland or Hercules are the first two options. I actually think Tarzan world is fine, and Alice in Wonderland is easily the worst one.

I really think this game only gets better the further you get into it and it actually holds up remarkably well for a game of its era (obviously that depends on how you feel about disney and how you can cope with a very cheesy and melodramatic anime story).

No point in continuing a series if the hosts themselves aren't into it. Riveting stuff, this is not.

@wiseman4545: I'm not a Kingdom Hearts fan, but I agree with you completely. It was especially stupid to watch Ben climb to an alcove using a box only to find it empty, not remembering that he had already looted it in the previous episode, and then he briefly complained about the game. Shit, I barely pay attention myself when I watch these episodes, but it seems like they are even less engaged in it than I am.

Any reason the game feed is 30fps this episode instead of 60? Cameras still seem to be 60 so it's not the video itself.

This casting couch gimmick is great. Next ep probably consists of tricking Jason with a couple of rounds of Tekken 7.

Yeah. People were saying the same thing about Blue Bombin' a week or two ago, but I thought the chatter there was pretty much fine. Ben & Jeff chatting about nothing during cutscenes they could be riffing on seems pointless. Brad at least seemed interested in looking for something to enjoy, even if some of it was boring--Jeff just shitting on everything this episode wasn't any fun for me.

What is the point of a series where you watch people not give a damn about the game they're playing?

Jeff makes me feel simple and clean.

Two episodes in, I am confident in saying that this is the objectively best way for me to re-experience this... uh... classic.

if this is how its gonna be, I'm afraid for later episodes where things are more obtuse and don't have a clear goal or aim

The levels seem pretty good. I can't wait until they release the real episode.

So this is the West's version of an inverse Exquisite Corps where the non-rotating chair is playing instead and it's more focused on the banter rather than the gameplay? I can dig it!

The first half did drag on but I was treating it like a podcast. If they can lock in the Goldilocks zone of finding the right balance of having good banter to offset the boring/non-existent gameplay or at least get to better gameplay (which they seem to be) to balance out the more mundane banter then this should be good.

Also, 42:30 is the best moment
