" Just signed up for a yearly,  I'm excited about what my and all the other member dollars will do for the site.    I mean do you have any idea the what the QUALITY of the Dance Central videos is going to be like now?  Podcasts split, not split, free, whatever, don't care.  Love the giant bomb crew, and they said "yo check out this membership" and so i signed up.  They work hard for the fans, and so I think giving back a little is only fair.   I feel for the people who say they have to choose between this and some other "Vital" bill to pay... but seriously, what other bill do you have that prevents you from spending $5 a month on something that you're obviously enjoying.   Seriously, it's Less than the cost of a new release video game. and I'm almost positive that you buy more than one of those every year. "

I wonder if they would have done this well if they had just asked for donations. I'm guessing they would have done pretty good.

Well worth the money every year!  That said, I've now got another step to download the Bombcast...I really liked being lazy with ITunes.

I unfortunately can't contribute unless you guys accept Paypal :(.

Sounds good to me!  
But can anyone tell me if it's gonna be possible to get the two hours in iTunes when you're a subscriber on the website? So much easier to keep a track of a podcast via iTunes.

I support you guys all the way. Gladly donated in the hopes that you bunch never have to conform to the industry standard. Giantbomb/tested/screened are the best things on the internet now and I hope donating will keep it that way.

Though it wasnt easy with my stupid ass UK credit cards, i did finally managed to subscribe for a full year of Whiskey goodness.  I was slightly humbled when Ryan said that he saw it as a partnership with the listeners/readers of the site.  I would always have subscribed anyway but how can you say no to that?  We where given the chance to give something back to the community and show our support and i was never going to back down from that, looking around i can see many others feel the same.  I cant wait to see what madness the GB and indeed, the Whiskey crew as a whole have in store for us.

@SAYNTofSYNNERS actually it was Vinny who Ryan turned to on that podcast. Brad was the surprise fourth member.

I'm all up for supporting GB but the podcast split is dumb. Too many other places to get news.
Could you guys not stay an extra hour or so to make a full episode...you know since people will be paying you now. Could you 'justify' it then?
 
BTW: GB had had quite a bit of advertising in the past. When you have quick looks with developers who 'stop by' to show you a game or when you spend a month hyping a game and wait till after its release to bag on it (Shank) : those are types of advertising, just not in the conventional sense. Just because the younger audience here cannot see it does not mean the rest of us are blind.
