Continuing my favourite Giant bomb series, I'll be interested to see how they handle 9 + 10, seeing how 9 is so short and 10 has the underappreciated bowser party mode.

Honestly, I think the first Mario Party might have been the best one. It's obviously not a great game, but it seemed to revel in the random chaos that it created. Hugely luck based, but the hard Chance Time swings and the potential for stabbing people in the back kept it interesting (or variable at least). The newer ones just seem to pile on layers that more or less just slow the game down (items, super long animations etc.), and it settles into everyone just gathering stars at pretty much the same pace as the other players until the coin toss at the end.

Also, is this about the third or fourth time @drewbert has rolled a one when determining turn order? IIRC it seems to happen a lot.

You know... I wanted to actually get some sleep tonight, after two night of very restless sleep.

Wait... these weren't third party games before this? Why was the art slightly off brand and everything so... shitty?

I'm still laughing, several minutes later. I watched until Drew said "fast forward to 3 hours later" and then did exactly that, caught the last 15 or so minutes and it was incredible.

I own this Mario Party and it's the one I hate the most, which reinforces my theory that whichever MP you own is the one you'll refuse to play.

Regular money is controlled (regulated) by governments, and those government agencies can control that flow of money very tightly (for good or ill) -- this was proven a couple years ago when Paypal, Visa, and Mastercard made it completely impossible for to donate funds to Wikileaks citizens across the world to donate to Wikileaks.

Bitcoin, being a form of currency which has no connection to any government, was able to bypass those barricades.

@aziridine: Or how about never. As lava is so damn hot you would a pass out and die from the heat you could also just burst into flames on contact. Lava averages 1200 -2200 degrees F. A shot of lava is instant death.
