@archimedes83: I mean, he did save scum to bring Tali back so he wouldn’t miss out on the emotional aspects of the Quarian storyline. I think people are just bummed that he misses out on the best parts of this mission especially since he made it clear he isn’t gonna play these games again.

For 10+ years Giant Bomb folks have been posting about how "you missed" and other backseat driver comments are totally unhelpful and dumb and don't take into account the natural way someone sometimes play through a game, and yet....here we are.

if you're so bored by the combat like it sounds like, why not bump up the difficulty one or two notches?

I’m very glad they found the Blasto movie poster, but they have a lot more clicks to exhaust the dialogue. Blastowatch continues!

I'm only about half way through this episode yet but have Vinny and Alex missed (Liara relevant plot point) Liara's "father" at the Presidium ? I don't know if maybe they already encountered that character and I'm forgetting or not.

If they haven't, they should talk to that character before going down the end game path for sure.

Can't wait to find out that the Catalyst is love? Big Sigh... EA didn't kill Mass Effect. Bioware did. Fuck this game!!

Kai Leng is such a terrible character, and not in a good way. Underdeveloped, sophomorically edgy, inexplicably overpowered (what even is that biotic shield and the acrobatic warping) and with an unbelievable amount of plot armor. Even if you disregard all that, he's not even menacing as an antagonist. Just a dude that dyed his hair black, showing off his katana collection in the belief that swords somehow trump future-guns. From a story-telling perspective, his 'badass attitude' when he walks up to the beacon is wholly unearned. I love Mass Effect, but everything about this... Ugh.

GB playing this game made me buy the Wii U version despite already owning several other versions of ME3. While the gamepad isn't the easiest to use to aim I actually do like having the powers on the touch screen.

The Thessia level is really good, about the only good thing about their attempt to CODify 3. And I love the idea of Asari grunts after 2 games of all of them being some flavor of special badass.

Also, I did that mission with James (no, I have no idea why either) and all he does is get a crush on the gunship pilot.

The concept of a cyborg ninja harrying Shepard every step of the way isn't inherently bad. The problem with Kai Leng is that he has no depth, no sense behind doing what he does. He's just an asshole. Stand him up against villains like Saren or the Illusive Man and he sticks out in the worst way possible. On balance I love ME3, but things like Kai Leng are unfortunate examples of squandered potential.
