@drewbert@danryckert I would definitely suggest watching the Act 1 Mission Briefing, which was cut from the game. It doesn't spoil anything since it takes place before the start of the game. It actually explains what Snake is supposed to be doing, which you can only really guess at during the game.

The Act 1 Briefing is the only briefing in the game that isn't directly accessible within gameplay. The player must instead exit the game and watch it from the main menu shortly after the player leaves Ground Zero.
