GBEast quick looking bad games is pretty much the best.

Oh boy to think i almost bought this when it came out... what a mess. But 2 things bother me , 1 : the fact they praised that eisenhorn xenos game while that was even worse then this is , and 2 the fact they couldnt figure out that meter above the weapon was for his special vision.. pretty obvious.

The assassin, the spy and the framerate killer should be a new Westside Connection song.

I'd love to play the new Hitman instead of this, but it crashes every time I boot it up!

Oh that's on a PS4! I thought it was a PC with nvidia 770 or something.

Wow, this is rough. It looks like someone took the design and framework of a PS2 game and stuffed it with a bunch of late PS3-era graphics and ported the resulting travesty to PC and then cross-ported that whole mess to PS4, poorly, and never bothered to optimise it in any way. Kind of a shame because a Hitman style game with a different theme is a cool idea.

Dang. As a huge Hitman fan, I was really hoping that this game would at least be competent. It'd be nice to have a similar game to play through sometime. Good thing Hitman will be doling out new content throughout the rest of the year.

I really thought about giving this one the benefit of the doubt. But even if it didn't look as rough, releasing the same day as Hitman and at three times the price, it's just not a great proposition.

This is a sequel to Death to Spies, and Death to Spies is good.

Oh boy, that framerate was real rough. At least the lockpicking mini-game looks better than most games

When they said this game was 50 dollars my jaw dropped to the floor.

Disappointing they didn't attempt the three hats in the video, but then again have you seen someone wearing three hats?

Man, I can play Witcher 3 on High settings at 60 FPS with a 770. The performance of this game is insane.

Edit: Actually, I was averaging 50 FPS, but my point stands. :P

When i heard Alex say it was a really bad game i was preparing myself for a shitshow. But actually, i sort of see the appeal. The price and the framerate issues kills all interest though. for 15$, a cleaned up version of this would be charming.

It looked better than the Warhammer game to be honest.

I love a Quick Look of a bad game as much as the next guy but theres something off about the whole thing when the first few seconds are like "ok let's start shitting on this game as much as we can!" I love you guys, Vinny is a treasure obviously, but ehh maybe don't lay it on so thick?

This is even funnier if you can understand what is said in German and have Alex just breeze by the guards while they exclaim that he is not allowed to be in there.

People seem to really like those Death to Spies game, shame it looks like this one turned out bad.

But Marlon Brando (complete with added dialogue) pushed all my complaints aside. Does he really piss on the floor? I skipped a little and only saw the elevator miss-pokes.

For real, this game looks like hot trash, but that's all framerate and polish problems. Every criticism they waylay, from the stealth gameplay - "So you're just gonna stand around until the guy moves?"

to the 'world breaking' videogamey bullshit - Yeah, just strangle that guy, yeah, just leave your clothes on the ground -

To the UI elements that kinda suck - ALL of this is pulled directly from Hitman. Not even the old ones. A lot of these gameplay elements are present in the new hitman game, and you look past the 'wait for the opportunity' mentality because those games have a pedigree and a nuance to them. If this was a lot more polished and a lot less framey, it would be a fine-ass hitman clone.

Man, it sucks that this sucks so much. A Hitman style spy game set in the Cold War is a great concept.

@humanity: i agree. What makes it especially tough to swallow is that i watched Eisenhorn's quicklook right before this and that game is hardly any better. But since they love Warhammer it's close to the heart, while this quicklook gets treated as Hitman's malnourished cousin.

I think both games are bad, but are doing a good job presentation-wise.

I dunno. With Eisenhorn I was left thinking that they were so close to having something really cool that I'd wanna see if only they had more to work with.

I've a much harder time looking at this and seeing where it could go beyond poor mans Hitman.

Framerate aside, this is some jank I can really get behind.

The German soldiers are definitely wearing a cap underneath their helmet that pokes through the helmet. I think what is happening is that there are two types of head wear for some NPCs to create variety but the game is glitching out and rendering both at the same time. This might also account for some of the bad frame rate.

I was wondering why the sounds and voices were so familiar, they're from Death to Spies.

You say it's a rough approximation of a Hitman game, but have you played Hitman: Codename 47? This is like that only now.
