Quick Look: Call of Duty: Ghosts

Lets do this! Didn't much care for MW3, lets see how this one turns out. BLOPS2 was alright.

With all the next gen coming I don't know if I want to spend the $60 to play this when its pretty much the same game it has been. My piggy bank is already going to be on empty.

That campaign looked pretty fucking stupid

Having played BF4 on a new PC recently, this looks like something from a different century. Both in presentation and in scope. I know that this is not the appeal though.

The field orders are a cool goofy thing.

The story is held together by wet toilet roll but there are some great locations/environments in the campaign. Sometimes looks really beautiful as well (PC version).

Scripted events on mp maps? Sounds like they caught wind of the "levelutions"(what a goofy name) from BF3.

Stonehaven is an actual place in Scotland with a ruined castle. Doesn't look like the one in the game, though.

These maps look pretty terrible. Just stuff strewn everywhere with no focus, shape or direction to the battle.

Somehow the multiplayer looks like it could totally pass for a F2P shooter and that may not be a good thing.

I love Vinny's exasperated "What is going on here?" at the 1 hour and 20 minute mark. Couldn't have said it better myself.

Is it just me or do the models in this game look extra shitty. I feel like they cut back a bit extra on current gen so next gen stuff looks better.

Gun tossing is the best thing about this game. That's it.

Watch the part during the campaign when you and Hesh are talkin' to dad. Dad has a fucking triangle head and laughable animation. They definitely took a hatchet to the graphics of the current gen, real quick and dirty like to get it out this early. I don't know who would buy this if they have any plans on getting the next gen consoles, or just get it for PC.

This just pales in comparison to battlefield. It's pretty obvious they see what everyone loves about battlefield, and are legitimately worried, and they've tried to implement battlefield-like features into the game but fail. The scripted destructive stuff looks almost as if it's only purpose is to look cool in a trailer, to mislead people into thinking it has battlefield-esque destruction.

So, the only fun in CoD that i have is Headquarters with friends....

I guess I'm not buying this game.

So I got BF4 on PC. I don't play online shooters a whole bunch, but I do enjoy the Battlefield type of multiplayer.. I actually really liked BF 1943 on 360. I also own like 4-5 COD games which I rarely play. But this game seems completely underwhelming to me. The mp looks exactly like every other COD game I already have, and I don't play enough for the changes to mean anything to me.

I guess I feel like the close quarter low player count mp has run it's course for me, which TBH for me was practically non existent

That drill thing on the alien map seems ripped right out of FireFall with the Thumpers. Have they really run out of their own ideas completely?

I don't know if its a better game but it is probably more game.

I don't understand how people can play video games with an fov that small. The entire screen is a gun.

Also I go through these cycles where I never want to play CoD but then the new one comes out and reminds me of CoD 4...and I want to play it again.

It still looks like shit on PC, so I wouldn't count on the PS4 or Xbone having it any better. It's actually offensive on PC because the spec requirements basically doubled (hard drive space tripled) yet it still looks worse than Crysis and almost any other half-decent PC game from the last 5 years.

It's the definition of phoning it in, people seem to be being harsher this year. Long overdue.
