Been patiently waiting for this one.

If this truly is the last Souls, or even Souls-like game from these developers, it's kind of sad. I've had Demon's and Dark Souls from around the first day, but I never finished them, and not necessarily because of three (but more so because I finished Quantum Break, and wanted to go through something I didn't finish), I am just now going through them. I'm really enjoying Demon's Souls. I kind of like the idea of three being fan service in some respect.

As someone that didn't really follow these games too much throughout the years since Demon's Souls, I know Brad got into Bloodborne, and I know he did a quick look of two's remaster, but did he actually go through them? I'm just curious, not in a judgmental tone. It sounds like he knows the games to a degree that he went through them. I remember the quick look of Demon's Souls, and it sounded like he and the rest of the crew weren't into it.

The game looks good, still very much like Demon's Souls, which I can't say is a bad thing.

Time until someone makes a @brad "git gud" or "babysouls" comment? I plan on going pyromancer too when I get my copy today.

I have been staying away from videos of this game, I have done pretty good too. Giant Bomb is my weakness though!

brad you cant rest at bonfires while being invaded. this has been the case in every single souls game

I'm not sure how you can prefer the 'home base', have to endure too many load screens

@puchiko: Austin is reviewing the game so he's probably at least nearly finished with it, they probably wanted a QL by staff members who were pretty new to the game.

I've always liked the animation of Dark Souls enemies but these seem to look even more impressive. Thanks to the Bloodborne engine I guess.

@ntm: If you're asking if Brad went through Demon's Souls there's a Breaking Brad series you should check out.

Continue not being that guy it's okay. You can respec or adapt, these things work out. Those classes mean nothing.

@brad You can not bonfire while there is an invader present. I am sure you can see why it would be problematic to allow bonfires during invasions.

Breaking Brad Dark Souls 3 pleeeaase! Im probably not gonna get this because i suck and really dont like the repetition of going trough the same levels over and over but i appreciate the hell out of these games. (+ ds 2 wasnt great so even if by small chance i do end up getting it it's definitely gonna be after all the unbiased reviews are out)

Still no real offline mode is a bummer.

1:03:46 ok thats great. I've been watching Dan play trough DS1 on his youtube channel and it really made me realize how little demons there are in DS2, glad atleast some of them are back. And yes the stray demons abolutely IS the demon underneath undead asylum.

Kinda disappointing there was no boss fight in a dark souls quick look... yes the stray demon was there but that was hardly a boss. In fact it was no boss at all just a miniboss. Should have coordinated your save better

As others have said. You cannot rest at a bonfire when you are invaded. In OG Dark Souls the game would just throw up fog doors in front of bonfire rooms when invaders show up. It's a game mechanic to force you to deal with the invaders.

You can't rest at a bonfire when you are getting invaded guys.

I heard somewhere that you can`t rest at a bonfire when you`re being invaded.

I'm very excited for this game. Had my copy since Saturday but aside from spending some time in the character creator I haven't gone past the first bonfire yet (waiting for friends to get it so that we can all start playing at the same time).

Been giving this a look and want to pick this up but I'm curious how the game handles bonfires while you're being invaded.

@emanc93: Apparently, you can't use them while being invaded.

Also, does Brad mention how many bosses he's beaten so far?

I'm still amazed Brad never went back and finished Dark Souls 1 & 2, we've seen him do Demon Souls and Bloodborne, Jason is the perfect partner for Breaking Brad: Dark Souls 2: SotFS

(I just watched IGN's Dark Souls LP, which was awesome, so I'm good on DS1 for awhile)

Great QL! Brad getting excited by one of those lizard things gave me flashbacks to the Brad Souls series.

The Asylum Demon's model is palette-swapped across the Stray Demon and the Demon Firesage. That guy is definitely an updated model.
