This looked really interesting until it got to the "hilarious-destroying-people's-clothes" part. Fuck that.

I have never heard of this series before, but it seems kind of amazing. Wish there was a version on Steam I could pick up.

In the context of this game, the destruction of clothing is definitely preferable than huge gaping wounds and blood sprays as a damage model. I'm all for it.

Drew has to be the only person in the world who can quote UHF with frequency. Not saying it is a bad movie, but it definitely is obscure.

Trapt, also a mid 2000s rock band that wasn't super great.

I don't really understand the direction these games have gone. I remember the first game not being this goofy. The Japanese with their toilet humor is certainly an interesting cultural quirk.

I watched Dan's playthrough of Trapt, and I was still surprised by how dumb this one went. From medieval castles to school gyms, how about that.

They're pretty extreme with their toilet humor though, the Gaki no Tsukai Batsu shows are a good example of that.

feel free to do a supplemental QL where Dan just plays this for another half hour or so.

I really liked this game on ps3, but i don't know if i liked it enough to play more of it, the silly new stuff seems fun though. I also don't have a ps4.
Put it on PC and i might be interested.

I like the theory of this game, but the way it plays out looks janky as fuck.

These games always make for a hilarious first impression, though judging by the Game Informer Trapt playthrough they also get to be exceptionally tedious and repetitive after about two hours.

Looks like some good silly fun!

I don't know -- the SUPER creepy part is where the game has you "breaking" clothes off people as they die. It's like 8mm : The Game as Presented to you by Stereotypical Fan-Service.

It's really not that bad, I think only specific trap sets will end up breaking off people's armor (maybe it's a result of overkill?). I played this game for a couple hours and never knew ripping off armor was possible.

Even Dan seemed surprised it happened, and he played a lot more of the game than I have.

@monkeyking1969: I haven't played this, but what you said reminds me of Way of the Samurai 4. That series was always a bit goofy, but the 4th game seemed to take the goofiness to an extreme far beyond any of the previous ones. Maybe it's just something niche games do now in an attempt to stand out.

Every time I see these games, I can't help but think I'm seeing a fetish on display that I can't comprehend, similar to that of "girls with guns."

Can't help but think think the reaction to this game would be very different if it was a torture prince torturing girls.
