this game looks awesome

The UI and menus in this game look like something from the PS1. It's sad how Japan went from way ahead of the world in gaming to way behind. There's no excuse for not having FULL voice overs these days.    

I still don't get why anyone would be excited about this game.

I'm not sure it's such a bad system. It makes for a challenging game and getting your souls back would mean you would gain more each time to spend. It is an older system than regenerating health but personally I think too many games these days are too easy visual-fests. One old thing that I do not like is everything still being as light as a feather, it looks awful and was a problem way back when Half Life 2 came out.
 
It seems the game could also do with a party system. Also, HANDRAILS... or something like Left 4 Dead has where you grab on ledges.

Actually yeah... this looks like something I would like to try out for a bit at least.

This looks so good but its really not for the faint of heart.

Game looks hard in a "Just play better" sort of way, which is exactly what I needed to know, and I'll be getting this game.
 
A game where you have to press the dodge button occasionally would be a good break from the God of Wars that have been released so far.

This is actually a game I could really get into. Too bad its not on PC.

Received this yesterday in the mail. Got my ass handed to me playing a Wanderer but I hear Royal is one of the easiest starting classes.
 
This should be the next Endurance Run as played by Brad.

This why you buy the limited edition with the guide. Looks like fun, reminds me of Spelunky except in action RPG forum.

I don't care what anyone says; Challenging games like this are amazingly fun if you can control your rage and have a good sense of patience. If you have a problem with that, there's no way in hell you could play this.
 
God of war 2 on Titan was amazingly fun for me, even though this looks even harder.

I don't think they discussed how satisfying the combat in is in this game.
 
I like the way some people put Demons Souls, "Have you ever had a relationship where you're in love with the other person, but thye hate you? That's Demon's souls"

If I had a PS3 I would most certainly play this game.

I bought this game when I was in Korea 2 months ago. Just played about 21 h now, it's a really great game and you have to complete it at least 4 times (3 if you use the weapon exploit) to get your plantinum trophy.

Sound quality is a little funny lately, no biggie though.

Looks like fun.

I am completely befuddled by the comments here. I still see no redeeming values of this game besides the whole online aspect. The menus look like a PS1 game. The combat looks clunky. The death penalty stuff is absolutely fucking ridiculous. Did I watch the wrong Quick Look? I just don't get it. How does someone watch this and say "This is a game that I would enjoy spending my free time playing"? Is there some kind of mind control device that I am immune to?  

looks better than Dragon Age IMO.

If Demon's Souls is being released in Europe, it's gonna be my reason to buy a PS3.

Jeff is a pussy. I think this is a brilliant game, and perfectly difficult: it's realistic. How hard do you think it would be to be a human being taking on the entire demon horde?
 
Also, the character created totally looks like Jake Gyllenhaal.
