Hey, if you want another Duke game with all the flaws and flourishes of the originals, Duke Nukem Forever sure seems like just what you're looking for.  Just like Dynasty Warrior games, there's no reason to mess with what works. ;)

PC Demo load times are much better.

But yeah, even so this game does not look good at all.

What a sad fuckin affair this game is. I mean, who was Gearbox kidding when they acquired this? Are they trying to prove something, or was there just a lot of pocket change lying around?

Good Quick Look, but I have to disagree with games not doing first person platforming anymore. Because Portal 2 did that and it's in game of the year contention (granted, it's an exception to the modern rule).

I think I'll buy this super cheap off Steam at some point.

Jesus, that Hive level is pretty dark and fucked up.  I felt bad watching that.

Yep. Just found that whole section really disconcerting what with the tone the trailers suggest.

I brought this game 2 days ago, played it for one day, hated it and traded it in yesterday. What a fucking rubbish game. It's janky as shit, the shooting feels crap, the level design is awful, the humour is trying way too hard, the frame rate is a total mess, I got lost and confused many times when all I wanted to do was murder pig cops etc. This does not play like a Duke Nukem game, DO NOT BUY IT, YOU WILL BE HORRIBLY DISAPOINTED

I'm not saying Duke is anywhere near the quality or complexity of Portal platforming. But first person platforming does exist.

Reading these comments, I feel like the only person that thinks this actually looks like fun. It's mindless, overly macho and intentionally stupid, and maybe that's all I really want from a Duke game.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. This is the best game I've seen all year.

The Hollywood Holocaust level is actually really cool. It literally is a low-poly count remake of the original, and the explanation for it is its a paintball arena now. So they keep the original architecture.

The only thing I found funny about this quick look was Ryan's painful sighs. I salute Jeff for playing through this monstrosity while sick.

This is horrible (I know, I'm as shocked as you are). Also, the cave level really started to creep me out, and I just read about that level in a review of the game. I'm not above dirty humor as well, but Jesus... that's not even close to being funny.

I'll get this game when I find it in the bargain bin just because its a part of history.... but damn, that looks so boring.

I played it on PC and really enjoyed it. That being said, the PC version doesn't suffer from any of the technical issues that the 360 version does. I had a 45-60 consistent frame rate throughout the entire thing, and the load times were actually pretty reasonable.

I'm calling it, Gearbox is gonna make another Duke Nukem game that won't fail as this one, Gearbox is a terrific studio.
