I kinda hate that Connor McGregor seems to be the one guy people recognize at the moment. But I guess there's always that one guy casual observers recognize, like Tito Ortiz or Chuck Liddell.

Also, goddamn, this game looks pretty. One of those games that makes you sit back for a second and think "Sweet Georgia Brown, we've come a long way".

Is all of the main menu stuff and fighter selection as slow and unresponsive as it looks in the Quick Look? I checked a couple of other videos and it seems pretty bad.

Dan getting knocked down FOUR TIMES in the Rousey-Tate fight had me in tears. "I don't think I would be good in a UFC fight." You THINK, Dan?

EDIT: I love that Black Desert Online's character creator has become the frame of reference for all character creators. As it should be, that thing is amazing.

I was gonna say, with the size of his SMM following, how hard could it be to throw that together? Considering how dirty he is though, even if it did fund, chances are he'd get a temporary and call it good.

You kinda knew how this was going to go when Jeff has played a bunch of these, and Dan hasn't played in a while. It's kinda like the way Jason v. Dan should always go. Of course, this is Jeff Gerstmann we're talking about, and Jeff Gerstmann is still a threat.

Though Dan's cheese tactics almost kinda worked.

Lol at CM punk being in the game when he will probably never fight for the UFC on the account of him being awful. UFC is a joke sometimes, wouldn't take a great real wrestler from Bellator who was undefeated , but will employ someone based on his fake ass wrestling career and name. Dana is a tool.

I only played the very first one for the last generation. I don't remember who made it or published it, how many of these have they made since ~2009?

IIRC it was best played by spamming superman punches, headkicks, etc. The submission stuff seemed a little unbalanced too, I can't remember though, this was years ago.

Hopefully they were able to balance this better. I recall it felt like a fun mix of arcade boxing and fighting game, but once you figured out the cheese strats the novelty quickly wore off.

I didn't really play online, only with buddies and against the (pretty bad) CPU. Maybe the online play had a bit more depth to it.

As a person who had an near fatal accident and now lives everyday with a brain injury - this sport and the fact that fighters who compete in it are allowed to punch each other as hard as they can in the skull - sickens and repulses me.

But hey I guess money knows no logic.

Props to the devs that worked on this. I am not at all into this sport, but the visuals in this game look so amazing. The hair, muscle and skin physics...just wow! Looking forward to the Bomb Crew playing this on UPF sometime.

It's disturbing how good the blood looks . Imagine being the guy who had to work on the blood physics, although its probably just governed by some universal engine physics.
