Quick Look: E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy

I bought this, but have only played for ~10 mins, my main issue with this game are the fonts, which seem to be optimized for nothing less than 1920.

I hate when they call the Resident Evil 4 style inventory management Tetris-y. It's based on a game called Attaché.

Guess someone liked the character art in Hellgate:London..

Been looking forward to this QL. Game seems weird enough just from the description on Steam.

I was hoping you guys would do one for this game. I haven't dug too deep into it but was planning to this weekend. Perfect timing!

Anyone else get really sad when seeing space turtle out of water, then get pissed when Brad ignored, then KILLED the space turtle? Man has no soul.
 
Also, why was Brad TRYING to hate this game? Just go away and give the controls to Vinny or Dave, they really seemed to enjoy it, and the game looked really cool.

Why is it that every world, every dimension, every universe, every planet, every time-line and every space station have rats?

This game has an interesting look.

I´m all for amusing banter, but this whole "dude, what is going... I don´t even.. do you know-" Is making the whole thing pretty hard to watch. These things are supposed to be without script and all, but please- 3 people just throwing incomplete sentences at each other really sucks. Think about what you´re gonna say and then say it.
 
And yeah, playing and talking is hard blah blah. I know. But it shouldn´t take a full minute for anyone to complete a short sentence in conversation. That is just anoying.

Game looks so old school with current gen layer on top of it.
I just wish the world or the lore would be at least a little bit flashed out to keep the story more interesting :(

Yeah this is a game for PC game lovers. I'm glad this got a review after yesterday's. It would be a shame for them to ignore the new stuff.

I don't even... I'm not sure what to think of this game. Part of it looks really really awesome, parts look completely terrible. I guess I'll avoid it for now and hope that patches/mods come out to fix the bad parts.

This looks fuckin' crazy. I don't know why I thought this was the craziest thing, but the hacking is like a mini RPG battle! Never seen a hacking minigame like that before.

Seems fun to watch people play (as evidenced by this video), but I don't think I'd want to play it myself.

This game looks great to me, blade runner atmosphere, immense depth in the RPG mechanics, good gunplay.

I hope the story at least holds up a little, but so far, this looks amazing.

Just as Dave Snider was reminded of Anarchy Online in the Deus Ex QL, I find the environments in this game vaguely reminiscent of AO.  But it all seems a bit too janky, confusing and poorly translated to be worth my time.

What we truly need on this site is a Dave & Vinny Endurance run :)

It would be half way decent if the UI wasn't such a mess.

Brad must've forgotten about Cargo: The Quest for Gravity.

I feel like Dave should of been manning this one.

My theory on cyberpunk and the color green: It's a way to reference the green on black terminal text from early computer era. I know that's a fact in The Matrix (remember the green text scrolling over a black background? It pretty much defined that movie). And maybe everything cyberpunk after that just copied The Matrix. I dunno.
 
Anyways, neat game and grat quicklook.

I've been playing this game for a few days now. It's hard to get into and some of the mechanics are jarring, counter-intuitive messes that, given the standard of the rest of the game, stand out like a sore thumb. Other than that, it's a complete blast and different from the usual FPS affair I've become accustomed to.

I really like deus ex, but this game doesn't look stealthy at all and the level design doesn't seem to encourage exploring much.

Perfect Quick look material. I really appreciate it, I heard people talk about this and I was really curious but I can't see myself buying it, at least not until a crazy steam sale.

V to stop bleeding and for a minor heal, and right click for the Med-kit. Also, Dave should have ran this quick-look. He would have understanded this insanity.

EDIT: Damn, beat by Chadster.

I'm super intrigued by this now. May have to pick this up once I have cleared a few more games out of my pile.

I love semi-jankity but super deep and rewarding games like this one appears to be.

This a million times. Brad is really bad at dealing with new complex games and explaining them to people. I would rather have seen Dave run this after he had played with the game for a week, and he could really show off what makes the game interesting.

That said, I honestly can't tell whether I am interested in this game or not. I love the depth and the world, but it does look a little too janky at points.

Oh, Dave, the reason the Matrix was shot through a green filter (scenes that took place in the Matrix) was because green signifies the color of rot while others also say it also represented green phosphorous used in old machines. Any scenes they filmed in the "real world" were shot through a blue filter to signify true life as opposed to the fake dream world the machines created.

As far was why this game is so green, I do not know.

This game is both amazing and awful at the same time.
