I hate JRPGs (and anime) 

Awesome, a lengthy QL of an Atlus RPG, loving it!

I hate this stupid like miniature polygonal characters that these games always seem to have. I would much rather have pixelized dudes or normal sized shitty looking dudes.

Vincent Caravella and Ryan Davis in a 30+ minute Quick Look made by Atlas?  Sign me up.

I admit, I chuckled at "Diablow". But I always laugh when Ryan and Vinny do a Quick Look together anyway. So it's a great bonus.
 
As for the game... looks solid, if a bit bland.

This wasn't bad and it may turn out to be a pretty good JRPG.

Atlas should really start working on Persona 4 for the PSP. I WANTS THATS!

The art style reminds me of Grandia 2.  Both have reluctant female leads as well. 

This doesn't seem bad but I fear that this will be on the long list of Jrpgs I have yet to finish on the PSP

When Atlus was asked if they would publish Hexyz Force, Atlus shrugged.

Seriously, this is JRPG as fuck, and not in a good way. It seems to play like an SNES game.

Well a publisher in the usa while they are both a publisher and developer in Japan. "

At least this game doesn't have random battles I can deal with turn based RPG's but random battles are the worst.

This is a JRPG.
 
I don't think I like JRPGs.

As with most JRPG, status effects suck. Thanks for keeping the status quo, good sirs.

Giant purple wave of death and then..... nothing. Tra la la in the forest.
 
Seems like the anime cutscenes will have the characters using a lot of extra words or taking awkward pauses to match up the lip synch. When you're surprised by a massive cloud of purple death, you don't take the time to say "What in the world could that be?". I couldn't help but cringe when I heard her say that. Also how is a timid little girl like her so calm about it? I guess she knew nothing was going to happen after the cutscene.
 
Also I wonder just how hard it is to maintain concentration during a quick look, since both of them seemed to forget the simple path they took through the temple and missed the NPCs telling them where to go.

This looks pretty cool. Might check this one out later.
I love playing RPGs on handhelds for some reason.

Looks like one of those games I start playing because in theory I like JRPGs, can't stop playing because of the compulsive Progress Quest nature of the genre, and then watch the end credits with a blank, empty look in my eyes and a strong feeling that I should never do this again.  And dammit, the story in Dragon Quest V is not as good as people say either!  And another thing, blargh!

These characters look like MySims and the big plant monster reminds me of a Digimon. Just sayin.

I usually hate it when people just burn through dialogue like that, but for this game it's totally warranted. These characters and stuff are all very uninteresting, and I even consider myself to like most JRPG storylines. They throw exposition at you about everything in dump truck loads, and there's no real reason to listen if you aren't even interested in the characters themselves.
 
JRPGs work better when you don't have to read a novel before playing the game.

Looks like something I would've enjoyed in my youth.

This game reminds me lot of the Lunar series. They should make this game for psn, we need more jrpgs like breath of fire, lunar, grandia, wild arms, etc. I miss the ps2 days.

It's good to have a female protagonist for once.
