I love me a good ol' fashion Hitman Quicklook! That was such a stylish finish, Assassin's Creed-esque. I love that the slow-burn is really starting to grab everyone. Who thought Hitman would have taken the gaming world this way? Such a great comeback story.

Brad noticed that the reason everyone was suspicious of him was because he was trespassing. He really is getting better at the game! Dan was right! Also, really fond of Dan finally running out of patience with Brad doing risky stuff for no reason at all (like dragging bodies and turning on things).

This was a great hit and the drummer opportunity seems to be set up as the one you get first so most people try it out. I basically did what they did on how to get the drummer disguise and then wandered around as myself in the suit once people stopped searching the area where I got the restaurant disguise. I want to spend more time in the basement since there seems to be a lot of cool stuff down there. I still need to fully complete Sapienza and Marrakesh first though.

Dan's explosions of angrish when Brad takes a sensible approach makes this the best episode yet. Well, that and the fact that they slowly seem to be learning how to play the game. :D

The next big revelation will be when the really understand what the orange overlay in hitman vision means.

If only either of them noticed the minimap in the corner even once throughout their hour long sessions. The number of times they walk through doors right into people can see through their disguise makes me crazy.

I'd love to know how these guys get the video across to Dan in NYC with no delay?

They've said they use a corporate internet thing to do it from both CBS buildings.

How would that work? The internet is the internet. Maybe they just sync the audio afterwards.

This makes me want to start playing hitman again. I got to level 20 in paris (which is really easy to do since challenges carry over between previous saves) and started sapienza but haven't gotten very far in it.

When they were trying to blow up the guy with the propane tank Dan told Brad the guy was coming around the tree before Brad knew, so they are at least looking at it. They sadly still haven't grasped the difference between white dots and grey dots, and what that means for suspicion/compromised outfits though.

I'm not a huge fan of this map so far. I'm still enjoying it quite a bit, and I think that it's at least on par with Marrakesh, but it feels pretty restrictive compared to some of the others. None of the disguises seem to help all that much because the key people you would need to get by will still see through it. And maybe it's just me and my compulsion to hide bodies, but I dislike the lack of body storage in the actual hotel itself. Leaving bodies in rooms that people might not even go to still feels sloppy. I probably just need to play through it more, because it seems there's always new stuff to find in these maps, and I guess it would make sense for the difficulty to ramp up, but that's where I am right now.

I also like how an actual story is finally being presented to us.

I know that they're going for an entertainment angle on these, but it would be real nice if Brad and Dan could learn the mechanics a bit. They've done so many of these but don't know how Trespassing works, what orange outlines in Hitman vision mean, that you can't blow up a tank with a blunt object, that those tanks they blow up have a very small radius, etc.

I love watching Brad and Dan go through these games, but it's incredibly frustrating to watch when they don't pick up on how the game works. Combine their lack of understanding and Dan's need to control how others play games it's starting to get real grating watching these when they used to be so fun.

Totally. The fact they keep asking each other about how being compromised works is super frustrating as well.
Still loving the videos though.

I don't like the A.I, it doesn't react like how Humans would, people don't start screaming and running to armed guards because someone walked into a place they aren't meant to be. They don't hear a noise then scream and shout because they heard a noise, no one jumps to these conclusions as they don't expect them to be malicious.

The people should say "you shouldn't be here" and then if you ignore them, they should then walk off to get someone to remove you. If they hear a noise they should just stand where they are and comment on a noise like how people would, or either ignore it or check it out first. Then if they catch you, you should have a chance to bargain with them, whether it's threatening them or bribing etc.

The A.I is just so one note though and it ruins the game for me, I don't find it fun.

No AI reacts like a human would. In a game that is heavily about predicting and manipulating NPC behavior, that's actually a good thing.

Trespassing isn't a crime in Hitman If you are entering an area you're not supposed to be in, you will be told to leave. If you refuse to leave on your own, the person who noticed you will either escort you out, if they're a guard, or fetch a guard to escort you out if they're not. If you refuse to follow, that's when they become hostile. Considering that all these hits take place in very high-security circumstances, that totally makes sense.

Noises will make the nearest person go look at what could have caused the noise (like when Brad turned on the TV in a room that was supposed to be empty and someone went to check). The only time this leads to a crime being noticed is if you have caused the noise while trespassing and are still hanging out, or your noise has left a body behind. Nobody in this game assumes noise to be malicious. This is why coins are so delightfully overpowered. You can make anyone come to you by making noises while staying out of sight.

The only real hair trigger (and the one that's constantly causing trouble for poor Brad) is being in a disguise around people who can see through it. If you stick around long enough for someone to notice you in a disguise, they will immediately become hostile. That, too, makes sense, because the only reason you'd be in a disguise is if you're trying to do stuff you shouldn't, in a high-security area.

I don't doubt it but I don't know if I can bring myself to play all of it. On my own I would just stealth my way up to a dude, throw a knife in his face and book it.

I like the part where Brad was trying to get from one side of the building to the other, and didn't notice the door he was looking directly at. It DID look like a window a bit, but it had a glowing green exit sign right above it. He was looking directly at it. So frustrating.

I see where you are coming from but that's not the fun of the game. If you want to kill the targets in the easiest way possible you start with the sniper rifle and in most levels you can take out all of the targets without getting anywhere close to them. That is fun but you're missing out on everything else the game has to offer. Like I said, the game is fun when you try to complete all the challenges like kill target A in this way, or kill target A in this other way. It's like a puzzle trying to figure out how to complete them. If your at all interested I'd pay the $10 for Paris and see if you like it. If you don't, you lost $10, if you do, you found the best game of the year.

The game is open enough that you would be able to play it any way you want to. There are the stealth nuts that want to perfectly infultrate an area without being caught and take people down that way. You can also play it like an adventure game (I compare it a lot with Stacking) and get in by wearing disguises. The game does a really good job at holding your hand on your first couple of attempts of every map by making the Opportunities available for you, and giving you a list of ways to take down your targets by just following UI. From there you learn more and more about the levels and NPC behaviors that you can go on your own or be able to handle elusive targets/user made targets/escalation targets without too much trouble.

If you really want to play the game, I'd suggest buying the first map. There's two small levels and then the Paris level for $15, from there you can do an upgrade pack for the full game.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the gross amount of audio skipping happening in the gameplay audio. I've never noticed it in any other GB Hitman video but it's out of control on this map.
