Okay, I'm sold. Fuck New York and LA as a location in video games.

This game is the only game that makes me wish i never traded my PS3 in. I loved this first one

When you're called on it you get hostile and protest being stereotyped yourself. When someone then joins in critiquing your behavior you try to pull the 'grown up' card and insinuate that you'd love to get the oppotunity to solve this outside of the internet. As if the insult he wrote was anything near as bad as the one you yourself started out with.

The problem with Infamous 1 is that it was basically a third person cover based shooter.
 
This sounds like they nixed the cover system in favor of giving you more powers and making the enemies less accurate.
 
Which is great, because Infamous 1 made you feel like a pussy, hiding behind cover from a bunch of thugs with AKs who can snipe from a hundred yards away.
 
Too bad they didn't bother to change their shitty, shitty map screen. Like, what the fuck is that shit.

I'm kind of shying away from open world games at this point even if it's an awesome one.

I don't know how people can say that the powers in 2 are better than 1. Granted, I've just unlocked the ice powers and haven't seen everything yet, but guess what? An Ice grenade arcs and lands exactly the same as a regular grenade. The Ice shield was exactly the same as the shield in the first game. The ice storm ability is the same as the ion storm ability with a different animation.

Don't get me wrong, I like the combat in infamous, but the new powers didn't wow me the same way as when I saw the powers for the first time from the first game.

I actually don't think the climbing looks good at all.  It doesn't look fluid and seems very start stop

Also, the fact that Brad has ice powers means that ice powers are tied to good karma, considering he plays straight good

Hey everybody: You should buy this game. It's tons of fun. And it makes you feel powerful, much more so than the original did

I've always liked his mannerisms and attacks, but that Ionic Vortex thingie is even bosser.

This game = awesome.

I love Brad.

The first Infamous was the first game I played evil on my first play through. I was able to do it because the bad path gave you much cooler/destructive powers.

This is like a comfort food game- not too many tricks, not too many gimmicks, just fun gameplay.

I just beat the first inFamous today, and I'd say it's pretty awesome. They've more or less addressed the issues I had with the first, mainly the traversal mechanics, not much variety with enemies, etc. But with this sequel, I think Sucker Punch is improving a lot of the gameplay features from the first, making roaming around the city a lot faster. I also like the cutscenes, because I didn't feel that much connected to Cole or any of the characters. This seems like it'll do the trick.
 
I don't get the problems reviewers are addressing in this game. I haven't played inFamous 2 yet, but seeing this quick look makes me think they're doing some significant stuff better than the first. Can't wait to finally play this. That level creator sounds fantastic.

Uhh, no? Cole sticks to everything, brings even more problems when you stick to stuff you don't want to. And you can never descend down a building.  
 
Crackdown takes actual skill with gauging jump heights. Infamous' climbing is not better. 

The only kind of skill Crackdown had was the skill it took to work around it's awful climbing mechanics. Seriously, hanging off a ledge and doing a super jump only to hang off another ledge is better than inFamous magnetic sticking? No, the system isn't perfect, but at least you never ran into a problem of a ledge being right above your character, forcing you to do a weird backwards jump up to it, only to fail and fall all the way to the bottom of the building. inFamou's climbing is on a whole level above Crackdowns climbing.

Wish I had a ps3 to play this :(

I'm from New Orleans and I have to say they did a good job portraying the city as good as they could. The silver statue dude reminds me of the guy that's always in the French Quarter. New Orleans is full of street performers. Good job Sucker Punch!

I'm playing this while (not) watching the Quick Look. Patrick mentioned rocket launchers and about a second after, a rocket was shot at me.

I actually dig the new voice actor.

this game kinda makes me want a ps3 now....

I wish they'd just made a whole new guy. Bit more of a typical superhero than just dude with shaved head.
I really didn't get why people lost their shit about some pretty minor changes.
Infamous is cool but the characters really aren't the strong point.

Damn looks cool, just download inFAMOUS 1 from the Welcome Back program so I'll get this after I beat the first one.

Ice jump is weak compared to the fire version. Phoenix flight or whatever lets you fly! ...as long as you have enough energy that is. Fastest way to get anywhere at that stage in the game, just spam it across the skyline woooo!

Woah cleavage. I'm glad to see the video game industry still doesn't understand how to dress a female character.

@supermike6: Where do you live? Most women, young and old, that I see out are dressing sluttier with each passing day.

I really dont understand why people like Infamous. I played half of it and had to put it down because it was just so boring and pointless.

I bought both this and Alice: MR and as soon as I've beaten Alice I'll be straight onto this, it looks so awesome.

Within ten minutes of watching this video I went out and picked up the Hero Edition. Loving it so far, plus woo nice bag! Thanks GB.

There is something so wrong, yet so amusing, about watching Brad drive a QL for a game with collectibles. :)

Also, the "good" and "bad" allies...interesting. I need to finish the first game before i hit this.

I hope this game does well. It's not game of the year potential, but if this one sells well enough to give Sucker Punch some good cash flow, the next one could be.

Going to have to get this game, it looks great!
