I've loved what I've played of Grimrock 2 so far but it's come at the time of year where I just don't have time for it. Maybe I should stop sleeping or something?

I really liked the first legend of grimrock. I didn't even know they were making a sequel until this video and now need to go download this.

I really enjoyed the first Grimrock. This looks like an awesome sequel.

Liked the game, didn't like the overwhelming amount of puzzles - guess I wanted something simple.

I understand the cost of bandwidth and some of the technical reasons behind the bitrate, but... oof. I had a hard time obtaining visual information about the game. Which is the point of a quicklook, I'd think.

Thank you for the entertaining and otherwise educational content however. This definitely a game I love watching and would never ever play.

Jeez, yeah. I suspect something about way this game starts and stops with the movement destroyed whatever compression math is going on.

For as much problems as Vin-co had on the island, he did clue me in on one secret I missed.

Also, @alex: I did that in the first game with no issues. This being a Dungeon Master derived series, (rather simple dungeon lay-out and character-building with puzzles being rough, few to no bosses), that made sense.

Now with this sequel though, they're getting into some Wizardry-derived DNA (labyrinthine dungeons with minor puzzles, very complicated character-building, whole lotta bosses), that has gotten VERY tricky. Luckily, I have some map-building software for this occasion.

I want to get out of crab hell.

Like the first one, this seemed really interesting until I saw the combat. Is it really just about rapidly clicking all the character's attacks, waiting on the cooldowns, and then repeating it all like Vinny does? The mage seemed a little more engaging, but I still didn't really see any sort of strategy to the combat. I guess I should give my copy of the first game a try sometime to see for myself, although I feel maybe this is a throwback game style that's not for me (no nostalgia for me since I never played first person dungeon crawlers when I was younger).

GrimRock like Doom Metal but less scary

@curious_george: I say this as someone who is of middling Grimrock skill at best, Vinny is not fighting with any strategy at all. You could stand there and go blow for blow but that is generally inadvisable and you definitely get better results from fighting retreats, flanking and utilising the layout of the dungeon.

If you liked Dungeon Master you should totally play it. Id almost recommend skipping the first game since the second is such a vast improvement. But the first is still worth checking out :)

Seems like a good sequel to the first game.

I have no nostalgia for this style of dungeon crawl but this reminds me of quest for glory a bit and that makes me interested.
