Games pretty fun too. One of the better free to play games out there right now in my opinion.

I played it for a few days and it was pretty fun. It seemed to lack depth to me though. Despite all of the customization stuff, it seemed a few things were clearly better and there wasnt much use in really experimenting or doing interesting things. Also because of the small team sizes, if one person is much better he can absolutely dominate.

Fun F2P game, but I'll stick with TF2 and CS:GO.

As soon as I saw Olga's pose when choosing characters, I was so deflated on the thing that I'll pass. Part of that also being that it doesn't seem like there's so much here that it demands everyone play it.

So they looked at TF2's model and made their own game? Good for them?

Pretty decent F2P game. The animations are nice. The game play isn't very deep at all, and it kind of gets boring after an hour or two of continuous play, but it is fun for small sessions.

I appreciate that the real money aspects are reserved for only outfits and specific taunt animations. Paying money also only gets you 20K of in game currency to go towards upgrades, which you can accumulate in 2 or 3 hours of playing on a free account.

You don't have to grind much at all to get the gear that allows you to compete against people who are higher levels and/or paid money. In fact I did better than most people that paid real money in the sessions I have played.

The game needs more maps and at least a couple of other game modes but it is a decent way to have some free fun. It's only a 2GB download. I would probably give it a 7/10.

I am completely on board with Helga as a character.

@brad@vinny according to the "pro-tips" you can cycle through on the home screen, taunting / dancing on a capture point will capture it faster.

I'm pretty down with Helga. I need to download this. That twerk animation is just fantastic.

it reminds me a bit of Cell Damage, a goofy art style with hyper-violence.

The art style of the game just looks so gross to me that the gameplay doesn't even matter. Every player is just some androgynous blob of ungodly fat.

I would say they made a better game.

This game has some great customization.

crispy should join in on these quicklooks instead of just partying up with brad and without a mic, he seems like a pretty cool dude from the dota series.

Gearbox, take note! Gun customisation for Borderworlds or whatever simply has to happen.

2014 Best Use of "The Carlton Dance."

I think this sums it up pretty well. For now (and from what I can tell) the game isn't very "deep", but it's really fun if you just want to go shoot some people for anything between 20 to 60 minutes. The gamemodes are fun, the gameplay is fine and the game looks pretty neat (if you like the style).

Let's hope they can build a big enough community to build upon that basis.

I'm going to wait till it hits a Steam sale before... wait...

I'm okay with the animation and art style of this game, but the gory stuff is a huge turn off.

That was my favorite part. Poor Brad.

Played about 10 hours of it, got enough 'points' to pretty much build whatever I wanted, and then I got bored of it.

This game does a lot of things right. It has fun game modes that complement the weapon system (for the most part). It runs super smooth, better than any recent game I've played, and getting in and out of games take almost no time. The free to play system isn't diminishing the overall experience. Etc...

However, the game fails in its namesake. The Loadouts just aren't all that interesting. There really aren't that many weapon combinations which are even remotely feasible. This isn't to weapon customization what Magicka was to spell casting.

And due to the lack of interesting customization, the game gets old very quickly. Because unlike similar games, although they may be class based, they in fact have more variety in what's actually viable and more importantly 'how you play'.

So I'm going to wait 6 months to a year and see if they've made anything more out of this game. But at the moment, it's just not enough to keep me interested.

Those guns look like they came out of Battalion Wars.

I like making weapons and all the cutimzation options, but the actual shooting and map design didn't do much for me.

You can turn off the gore (and nudity) if that ain't your thing.

my only complaint about Loadout is that objective scoring is too low.

I've single handedly won two games by scoring nearly all the objectives and someone else gets MVP because they have more kills... weird.
