Eh, I don't know if I like how there's already a ton of thematic stuff and then on top of all that there's Lovecraft in there too I guess? Seems like the game has too much going on for me to care. That and I think everyone else's voice except the 6 armed guy is kinda grating.

I bet the dude's name as Dax is the opposite of an accident.

Mechanics seem well done though.

This game looks GREAT! I like the way it looks and it looks pretty fun. I'm grabbing it when I get some time to play it.

Getting a fundamental property of magnetism wrong though. Holly shit. Wow. How embarrassing. Call it something else if you just want to make up a force where similar polarities attract. Or work it into the fiction? Alternate universe or something.

I would skip this game based solely on the gameplay, don't really want a less polished Portal right now.. but the story thing might suck me in. Possibly Cthulu story sounds too good, I hope they deliver.

I am not complaining about the QL because it is hard to talk and solve puzzles while recording, but it is always upsetting when people keep calling a game broken or clunky when they aren't thinking ahead.

The look speed is slow you say? Turn up the sensitivity or stop using a controller for this type of game perhaps. Can I get paid for playing and not understanding basic video game sense too?

Somehow this mediocre looking Portal knockoff still looks a lot better than Kim Swift's own Quantum Conundrum. That game was just bad.

Although, I do agree that Mirror's Edge is the only game that's done first-person platforming well - it's a huge shame that most first-person characters don't have legs :(

The legs are part of it, but also where they put the "camera" in relation to the character's rotational axis, most games put them at the same place, which makes it look like you're scrolling through a 1990's QuickTime Panorama when you turn, whereas Mirror's Edge, Tribes, ARMA and a few other games place the camera/eyes sligthly in front of the turning axis (kinda like how real eyes aren't exactly in line with the center point of the neck! Revolutionary!), which shifts the perspective slightly when you turn, making it easier to discern depth despite the lack of a stereoscopic view.

I would point out that all Cthulhu Mythos stuff is space Cthulhu Mythos stuff due to it being the creator of the Cosmic Horror genre and almost all of the beings in it are actually space horror thingies, but that'd be pedantic. (One might also note that I'm OK with being a hypocrite in this instance). Also also I do get what you meant: Cosmic Horror set in the future.

Good job Brad on the strategic thinking! Going in blind on real dumb games is the true joy of the Quick Looks, but trying to get through new puzzles while having to talk to another person probably isn't conducive for anyone.

The threads are woven deep with Giantbomb. The makers of the Sherlock Holmes games (as discussed by Justin McElroy on the E3 late night Bombcasts - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kFjUYWWYyM - skip to 5:45 for the 2012 version) are Frogware, who made this game too.

Hey guys, don't get dissuaded from buying the game over stuff like "It just drops you in without explaining anything". Everything covered in the Quick Look is explained in the first few minutes of playing the game, including several prompts that won't let you continue playing the game until you press the Use button.

The physics are pretty tight and consistent, too. The reason Brad kept randomly "jumping" is because that's what happens when you place a block under your feet.
