Great Quick Look!

The xbox website is wrong when it comes to the veteran thing. It shows me as a member since 12/08 but on the dashboard I have a 5 next to my name.

I got into the "preview" last night. Kinda disappointing. There isn't a single feature that I'd ever actually use. I guess the game ratings thing is okay, but I've got other sources to help me figure out what to buy (hint: one of them is the site I'm typing on right now).

Come to think of it, if they're going to do a quick look of an update this boring, why not do quick looks for Wii/PS3 firmware updates?

The "improved playback" feature makes it so that if the stream needs to re-buffer, it does it faster and without kicking you back into the Netflix lobby screen. The video just has a brief skip (like you are watching a scratched DVD) and then it keeps going.

Not a bad update at all! Really looking forward to the back catalog 360 games, hopefully those get added soon!

The avatar marketplace is neat in concept but holy shit are the prices ridiculous.

I got an e-mail from MS to say I got into the preview but annoyingly my 360 bricked the day before it was released to the public :/ (also out of warrenty)

For people saying this is a minimal update, just think how even more minimal it is in Europe where we don't even have Netflix. I like the idea of the avatar marketplace just so people can look more individual but the prices are rediculous. You can buy a track in Rock Band for the price of most of these props and have way more fun especially considering you're basically advertising if you buy something like a Halo T-shirt.

I wish you guys had looked at the now named Indie Games section just to see if anything has changed. There are some great games in there but it's just being filled with so much crap like ball massagers, clocks and junk but hopefully the new rating system will really help the good games that have gone under the radar become more noticed. The new pricing system helps as 200 points seems a lot for some of these games where I'd gladly buy more for 80 or 160.

The avatar rewards seems very cool but the bought items are WAY too expensive. You should get a whole pack of themes clothes and items for a dollar. Not to mention how ironic the "recessionista" clothes cost money.  I guess it doesn't really matter since I would never buy any of that stuff anyway.

Yeah I got access to this a couple days ago. The marketplace seems waaaaay overpriced.
