Earth Defence Force is probably the best "bad" game series, i love it

1up gave this game a B.....Crazy I know.  They also gave Resident Evil a B.  Something isn't right about those fools.  Probably self esteem issues...

The sword thing is like a "reload" mechanic, so as to not get too monotonous.

Anyone else think that these Quick Looks could afford to be shorter?  I got the point of the game after the first boss but everything after that was just me sitting at my computer watching a bad game...

I liked the unbeatable blood monster. that's TRUE innovation. the random japanese buisness man boss was quite exciting as well.

If any adult is playing Onechanbara, they're playing it for the wrong reason.

Jeff played this on "on the spot" on gamespot along time ago. It was either the japanese version or another one in the series for the 360

Earth Defense Force is just crazy fun: this game is junk.

Honestly, I got about 10 minutes into this video before I couldn't take it anymore.  This game should join E.T. in the desert.

I just noticed that this QL exists right now...I'm quite excited to check this out as I was almost going to buy it for pure ridiculousness, but it didn't sound to be even worth that. I'm also quite shocked at the 30 min length... The QL that is not so quick, but still kinda quick and definitely a look.

I have the original Japanese version of Onee.  I see it in the same vein as Bullet Witch and EDF.  Not terrible, just mindlessly middling.  But that's also how I describe Ninety-nine Nights and every Dynasty Warriors game since 2.

Inner butt-jiggle is the next big thing in gaming.

Y'know what this game needs? The girls should be increasingly drenched in blood as the zombie-chopping 'action' continues, so by the end of a level they've got that whole Marcus-Fenix-emerging-from-a-giant-worm look going on. THEN it's a must-buy. As it stands, this game looks more lifeless than its shoddily-textured antagonists.

Oh, and for the record? Big EDF 2017 fan... *raising hand*

I expected this game to be bad, but not that bad...I honestly think this may be worse than Jumper...even Vampire Rain!

So this game comes packed in free with a case of 24 right?
Few things come to mind when watching this:
1. I can so see this being a licensed thing FOR beer. Kill the zombies and save the bud light or some shit.
2. I want bayonetta to hurry the hell up.
3. I want a Stubbs the zombie 2 so I can create more zombies to kill these stupid "characters" in nicer terms.
4. This game needs guns.
5. What are the requirements to unlock Rachel from Ninja Gaiden?

I guess the best thing I could say at this point , after watching this video, is that not all games are for everyone. Just like movies, this is the B movie counterpart to gaming. The game did come out in 2006 in japan by a dev team (tamsoft) that makes budget games in japan as part of the simple series of games. Where Madworld is on a higher level, with more style and cash behind it, but still in the same genre.  Just like the press seems to hate Dynasty Warriors games, personally not a fan myself, but people still by them and they keep getting made. Onechanbara seems to fall into this same space. Onechanbara just seems like the closest thing to an old school beat 'em up this generation has on offer. This was one of the times I was very surprised by your lack of knowledge or interest to even grasp just the simple mechanics in a game. You just seemed to have a general bad taste in your mouth from the get go. Unfortunate.

"closest thing to an old school beat em up"????   It may be close, but that doesn't make it a good game at all.  This is just beyond repetitive and way too simplistic to enjoy on any level.  Games back then were pretty shallow if you think about it.  But nowadays games are much more complex, something like this coming out now just comes off as low quality.  I do realize that not every game will be as polished as  Half Life 2 or MGS4, but some stuff is just straight up bad.

So the cutscenes are kind of entertaining in a perverted way but the gameplay just seems atrocious.
Earth Defense Force 2017 is fantastic though.

You know, I want to play Persona 4 after watching Vinny and Jeff play it. This game, not so much. Well, at least not for more than 15 bucks. Knock it down to that price, include plenty of butt jiggle, and I'll buy it out of masochistic tendencies. I mean, I'm not gonna lie here. I gave up my dignity a long time ago. :P There isn't anything left in me that would feel ashamed to own this. Besides, I do want to see the ripple effect on my plasma tv. Sounds sinfully stupid!   

So basically it's bullet witch only you don't need to work to make her look like a hooker, and you get to look up loli skirt, works for me! :)

I'd rather play Dynasty Warriors.
