I think it looks great visually, but it's the actual gameplay seems oddly linear? I remember the first time I saw Championship DX I HAD to buy it. This game, not so much.

Call me crazy (yeah, yeah), but I honestly didn't think DX was that amazing. That said, I'm having a great time with this game and, dare I say it, enjoy it more than DX. Anyone else in this boat? I'm not sure what's so disappointing about it!

I watched Medibot's (the pro-YOCO guy) and he really liked this game. He did pretty much everything you can do in CEDX so it's probably a pretty good game.

I played it Tuesday and was disappointed in it somewhat, but after ignoring it for several days, I came back to it yesterday and found it enjoyable.

I think part of my problem was having to go through the dry and dull tutorial. While I understand there are several new mechanics that need to be explained, the way the game does it kills any excitement and enthusiasm. (That said, the mechanics DO need to be explained, but I'm not sure how that could be done otherwise.)

I'm actually starting to come around on this game. The new stuff is weird to get used to as someone who loved the first one, but once you get into it, it's pretty addicting.

Not sure it's as good as the first one, but hey, it's still a good bit of fun.

This game gets really good after about two or so hours. Soon enough you're blazing through the best paths on Expert (the only way to play this game, really), while a bunch of angry ghosts actually do put you in danger.

While the ghost train thing is different in how rewarding it feels with cutscene vs. real-time in CEDX, it's more rewarding to catch them in CE2, instead of them just standing there or following a safe distance from you. It's like a separate and difficult phase of play that 1) really boosts your score and 2) bars you from the rest of the game until you complete the task.

But I have no idea what you guys are talking about with the soundtrack. The new one is bonkers and wonderful, with maybe the exception of the menu music, but come on - you can't strike gold every time the way CEDX's menu track did.

the chunky murderspree is vital to me. You probably only feel that way if you know what you're missing.

Keep on driving franchises into the ground, developers.
