Quick Look: PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe

Dancing on towers raises the EXP meter and upgrades the tower (next flag color).  Better to use the blue gems to unlock better towers (the fire tower is a mounted flamethrower) or to plant bombs (5 gem cost).  The locked towers are unlocked on a per-level basis.

Brad's right about this game getting hard later on, especially if you want to get rainbows, which are the prize for not letting a single enemy pass to the end. I remember a lot of me running around the levels to dance-upgrade my towers and barely making the perfect score by juggling tower types, upgrades, sells, and new builds.

No offense intended towards Brad and Ryan, but I have never seen such an uninformed QL. Not that I'm saying this shouldn't have been done this way, but normally the dude playing is up on their knowledge of whatever game it may be.
 
Still, love this game. I am going to go see how much encore on the PS3 is now and maybe I could scrape together some cash.

This is really hard to watch, especially hearing them talk about how gameplay elements are taken out of other games not counting Starcraft or WC3. 
Pretty much EVERY SINGLE gameplay thing in here and in every other TD originates from custom maps in those two games. Yeah, prove me wrong. Also, Brad just can't upgrade towers properly. Damnit. I need to not watch TD quicklooks anymore.

@h0lgr indeed, I still think the best TD is element TD for wc3  
Also has hero defense branched out of custom maps yet?
