Quick Look: Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D

Looks terrible

It still baffles me as to why there's no Leon in here. At first thought those eight they shown in the trailers were the default, and there would still be a few unlockables - with Leon being one of them. They most likely revoltingly have him pegged for DLC. 

Yuck the Mercenaries is my least favorite part of Resident Evil.

I love mercenaries, i don't want this game.

I wonder in how many Quick Looks Vinny has said "Ninja Dog" like near the end of this one. I randomly chose the Fast Food Panic Quick Look to watch and less than 2 minutes in, Vinny says "Ninja Dog".

Oh wow, this looks terrible. Who would buy this when there's Ocarina?

No Sheva or Leon??? The sound effects sound kinda crappy too. If I ever get a 3DS I'd get this for $10 but no more.

This just highlights my problem with Resident Evil - you can't aim while moving, which makes dealing with the enemies harder, so they compensate with enemies that stand around like complete morons.

Being on the 3DS doesn't help matters.

The audio is really bumming me out. Never desample the enemy grunts! That's like what you'll be hearing constantly!

It's always painful to watch Brad play RE. 
 
If I had a 3DS I'd probably buy this since I love Mercs mode, but I really want a console experience.  Bring it to consoles with all the characters and maps from RE5, RE4 and Mercs Reunion, the perks system and I'd pay $40.

Can't play as Leon? Probably wasn't going to buy it anyway, and that makes me feel good about my decision.

First they want to charge 40$ for something that should be 10$ if downloadable on console/pc.

And on top of that they want to make it basically unsellable unrentable untradeable unlendable.

Capcom can fuck right off and they are going on the list of publishers I won't ever buy new from.

Capcom has gotten really good as cashing in on a minimal amount of gameplay. This seems at best a $20 title, charging $40 for an RE title w/ no story mode or campaign is crazy to me.

I'd totally buy another Mega Man Zero GBA Collection on a different format. That game deserves so many buys; like real hard.

this is the selling point that a lot of you people need to understand: 
Do you like the Mercenaries mode in Resident evil 4+5? Yes/No? congratulations, you've made your decision.

It's too bad this isn't just a bonus mode for Revelations like it probably should be :/

Low quality sound is one thing. That is just ridiculous, it was sounding like doom at times, only with sounds that weren't meant for sounding that way so it sounds awful instead of awesome.

It wouldn't be that bad if your weapons had a little more range and the aiming was snappier. The aiming is really the issue, it just isn't very good.

I was expecting something good and....no.

I think I will skip on picking my pre-order then, looks really . . . . average.  Albeit I am a little cautious on 3DS games, I don't purely play it just for the 3D feature, has to have good gameplay etc as well which this seems to fail on. Back to Zelda for me!

I'd buy a 3DS just so that I could pass on this game, AND I ALREADY OWN A 3DS!

If i had a 3DS I would get this but it definitely doesn't make me want to buy a 3DS

Sigh...remember when RE used to be good?

Poor Brad picked up a used copy. Now everything's unlocked, and he can't tell his scores from the previous owner's. Sad.

Definitely not getting this, $40 mini-game with no real story or single player campaign.  I wish you guys would show the top screen a little larger in these 3DS videos, the bottom screen is just usually status stuff.

I knew what this game was before going into it. Somehow NONE of you realized, after multiple bombcasts mentioning it, that it's literally JUST mercenaries mode.
 
That being said, it's not worth the full price to me (or the price of entry, I don't own a 3ds), but this actually looks fun to play.

Defiantly going to pick this up but going to wait for a $15-20 price tag because of the whole capcom BS they are doing with this and the whole save file, they don't deserve full price from me.

$40 seems like a lot for this

I didn't like the Mercenaries mode in the proper games, so this means nothing to me, especially cause there isn't even a campaign or something like that. Just random maps...

I really enjoyed the mecanaries mode in Resident Evil 4 and 5, I played a ton of it and really found it addicting. I however am not going to pay full price for this game that I can have more fun with on my Wii/PS3.

I'm two minutes in and I already want to buy this game. I loved Mercenaries so god damn much.

Man... The animation on the guys who get knocked over is super low-fi..

The $40 price tag would've been justified if there was an added feature of just looking at Jill's ass.

But the quality is shit, so in the end that still sucks.

Not defending the rest of the game (although I loved Mercenaries in RE4/5), but I wonder if the low quality of the sound files is due to Brad running a non-retail, possibly not-final build here? Guess we'll find out once people start picking this up.

Weird, 'cause the game looked and sounded a lot better in other trailers before.
